I have been looking for a while, for some reliable insurance company to insure my car, newly bought. MotorEasy insurance policies are really easy to get , easy to pay, flexible premiums, great overall coverage and so more.
They assisted me understanding how it works and assured me on everything, all the concerns regarding it.

Yep you will find out all sorts when you have to claim... Watch out for when they say they cover wear and tear...... have a long talk with the salesman before signing up. They are awful!
THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY... IN MY EXPERIENCE THEY ARE VERY POOR AT COMPLAINTS HANDLING AND IF THERE IS AN ISSUE THEY WILL SAY ITS THE GARAGES FAULT EVEN IF IT ISN'T...THEY ALSO BLOCKED MY REVIEW ON TRUST PILOT WHICH IS ONE OF THE FIRST REVIEWS YOU SEE WHEN SEARCHING FOR MOTOREASY BUT SENT ME AN EMAIL TO SAY THAT IT IS MY RIGHT TO DO REIVEWS ?!
Avoid at all costs. Took out 2 policies in Sept 2019 went to make a claim March 2020 and to no surprise claim rejected for a oil pump change. Claim rejected because i didn't hire a recovery team for a 5 minute Journey by a VAT recovery team. Staff nice at sign up, once using them customer service becomes 0/10 Do yourself a favour and DO NOT SIGN UP.
Totally agree with the above. A waste of £440. Every time I claimed I was told the claim was rejected. Every excuse under the sun to pay out. Do not use them.
Very poor service. Waste of money buying warranties from them. They call it WARRANTY but it's a breakdown cover. You have to get your car recovered even your cars turbo is still working but making loud noise. They'll always make you pay excess which is cost of job . Paid £260 for AC gas refill.

Donavon what do you mean, because you didnt hire a recovery team? And whats a VAT recover. Sorry i may be just reading this wrong
A Plan Policy FOR RANGE ROVER
Again company refused to pay, this time on
the repair of a failed Haldex pump. Just 70k
on clock, it has been well looked after and serviced and been told we not covered as they say it is wear and tear! Terribly upset and now taking this further to Financial Ombudsman. We appealed, but same outcome. Just cost us £700 at our local garage. Terrible.

I called up to cancel and received a phone call back today from quite honestly, the worst customer service representative I've spoken to in my life. He was so rude and arrogant, "how many times do I have to tell you?!" he said when he didn't answer my question about their cover.
I asked him to cancel the policy and told him I wanted to raise a complaint. "Well you can wait for the complaints team to call you back and you might as well cancel it with them". I asked him to cancel it, "why when you can just do it with them?". He then claimed that he can't cancel it but can only "go through the next stage of the process" and someone else would call me back - this was a lie as at the end of the call he cancelled it within seconds.
He told me I was being rude because I wouldn't pay more for the upgraded cover?!
This company really doesn't seem to learn. I decided not to proceed because of reviews like this, and instead of improving themselves they've now got another poor review for potential customers to see. If they really wanted to expand and grow then they'd do something about it. Alas it looks like they care very little about just about anything.

We went back and forth for 8 weeks with conflicting details of my claim and using so called 'independent engineers' who appear to have a vetted interest writing reports in such a way so it cannot be determined either way by wear & tear or breakage. I would be very wary of this company, anything which may result in a hefty outlay will not be covered.

For god sake don’t breakdown because you won’t get any help from this tin pot warranty. You have to pay them £326 per year.
Then you pay for your own repair to your vehicle.
That’s without paying them £72 for diagnostics every time you do break down.
Please save your well earned money and put it towards any breakdown you have.

Having already been overcharged for a service via Motoreasy , recently my reversing camera in my Mercedes failed. Interalia , the failure caused the fuse to blow. Motoreasy used this to refuse the claim for the camera as IT DOESN'T COVER FUSES, although it was definitely the component, i.e.the camera, that was the problem not simply the fuse which was incidental. Don't waste your money on this Company.
MOTORWASY COSMETIC REPAIR
Bought the policy for cosmetic repairs. My private car, not used for business, Had a dent just above the rear light on an angled part of the bodywork which fell within the size for dents (being 3mm or less). Sent in photographs and the repair was authorised. Had to wait over 8 weeks for the repairer. Repairer arrived and said the dent was not what he'd been told and he hadn't equipment to do it. Complained that the delay had caused more extensive water damage on edge of paint. The policy says if repairer can't do it, you get £150 towards bodyshop repair. Motoreasy hace denied all cover. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY- THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY OUT. ....even their new cover schedule shows repair to same type of area. (Also watch out for their definition of a dent - most other companies don't have a 3mm dent wording.
Taking them to the Insurance Ombudsman, (will update on ADLSolicitors webpages).

Following social media posts I was contacted by appeals at motoreasy who agreed that the policy says if repairer can't do it, you get £150 towards bodyshop repair. I was advised that a 3rd party administrator (carcareplan.co.uk), who administer claims on behalf of Motoreasy, had wrongly denied claim and offered £150 (as per policy). Originally gave 1 star because cover was denied, but changed to 4 stars following assistance from appeals at motoreasy.

Plan A Warranty
Signed up for cover on a recently purchased Ford Fiesta. Never claimed through them however when I came to cancel they hit me with a £30 cancellation fee that was never mentioned over the phone in several phone calls but its “in the T&C’s I’m afraid”. Hidden fees of any description are the hallmark of a bad, money grabbing company, especially cancellation fees which amount to almost a whole month of their ‘A’ Plan cover. Shameful.
Also DO NOT have routine or pre-plan repairs done through this company. They are horrifically over priced! Quoted £119 for a coil spring on a Ford Fiesta!!! Even Halfrauds are half that price! Bought a spring off eBay for £13, took 8 minutes to fit.
I cannot recommend this company. If you do sign up make sure and have a very, very close read of their T&C’s particularly where it mentions Clutch Components. Loads of exclusions.

Never ever think about motor easy. They try to avoid claims when we desperately needed. Always hide information and use that if we try to claim. I never met any worst providers than motor easy before.

Has anyone had issues with motor easy?
I am having repeated issues with them and it looks like I will need to sue them.. Has anyone had a clutch repair with motoreasy and what was your experience?
I have found that motoreasy firstly repeatedly will just pick Halfords... they have a chairman that used to be the Halfords Coo so that may be why...
They have a terrible complaints process and I find that they are often dishonest about what is going on
They will do anything not to pay out.
You need to be very wary about the fact they say that they cover wear and tear... they actually don't really... they basically allow themselves not to have to pay out by excluding from coverage damage that would occur in a wear and tear event so I have contacted trading standards as this needs to be looked into.
On numerous occasions things that should be logged are not and documents from their partners are missing.
They will blame Halfords but yet always pick Halfords as their go-to garage.
It is also often more expensive to get a repair done under Motoreasy.
I am out of pocket having spent 72 pounds on some kind of initial assessment and 726 pounds out of pocket for my clutch repair which my policy A says that it covers wear and tear on.
Doing the repair through Motoreasy would have cost 1200 to over 1400 pounds!
The joke is after paying for the initial assessment of 72 pounds we were sent away with the car as the car should have been okay in the short term and they were going to submit quotes to motoreasy and then we would be told to bring the car back after motoreasy chose one of 2 quotes...
A few days later at around 10 at night myself, partner and newborn were on the motorway when the clutch went which was absolutely terrifying as you are unable to pick up speed and we could have had an accident... we got stuck in a live lane....
Now Motoreasy are declining my claim and to top it off the receipt on the portal has been scrubbed because something has been refunded somewhere but motoreasy can't tell me who or what and the garage can't find any record of the car coming in... even though we can prove it... the car was also sent back without the clutch actually being checked as the gearbox or something needed to be taken off ... DANGEROUS
MOTOREASY JUST WIPE THEIR HANDS OF IT.
This is not even the only situation I have had with them!!!!!!
Be very careful with this company and the government needs to step in as I am sure they really are treading over a lot of customers...
I feel that someone needs to go through past claims someone independent and check whether what is going on is in the spirit of the law or can be construed as failing to treat customers fairly.
I’m having same problems with them.
Not paying up although evidence of breakdowns and garages diagnostics.
Will persevere through trading standards for breach of contract
