In the nineties, breweries that produce small, traditional and independent beers, were referred to as microbrewery. These kinds of the brewery were common mostly in the United States and the United Kingdom. This description was restrictive as such brewery is limited to brew a particular barrel of beer per year. As the demand for traditional beercontinues to increase across the globe, it was discovered that it was almost impossible to produce a fixed amount of barrel per year. Hence, the emergence of craft beer, which unlike beers from a microbrewery, is not legally restrictive in the number of barrels per year. The quantity of beer produced by craft breweries is typically way smaller than those from large-scale corporatebreweries and they are often distinguished by their emphasis on flavours, brewing technique, and quality. That beer is made locally does not mean it is good automatically, neither does it mean it is bad because it is made from a large-scale corporate brewery. The difference mostly lies in the quantity of beer produced. Brewdog claims to be passionate about craft beer, thus producing varieties of such beers to their customers in most countries in the world.
