    £95 of meats

    Dangerous and unsafe.

I ordered £100 of various meats. The website says that it is safe to send by courier for two days and it will still be frozen upon arrival. It was not. The packing was so poorly done that the box fell apart in transit. The bottom had obviously fallen out/open and only 1/4 of the meats were still frozen. Many were completly deforsted and could have been so for 2 days as the box was open and the contents may have spilled out and not had any ice packs.

There is obviously a very high chance of getting food poisoning from meats that could have been defrosted for two days and it would be dangerous to eat it.

I would strongly advise anyone who does not wish to get sick to order from a farm that at least sends meat in packages stong enough to not fall apart.

If I had read the other reviews complaining about meats arriving defrosted I would not have ordered from them.

A classic case of I wish I had come here to read the reviews and not just believed/taken at face value the all of the glowing reviews on the coombefarmorganic.com website.

Combe Farm supplies I have tried many times and found it satisfactory evey time.
Prices are quite affordable and late delivery is not even affordable by seller due to raw material.
Packaging of every product is USP shows complete care of customers.

Coombe Farm Organic

Are you a fan of organic food? Do you much prefer to buy meat form animals raised in a traditional free-range farm? Coombe Farm Organic caters to just those tastes with their selection of beef, lamb, pork, chicken, venison and fish products. Read the reviews for the company below to see what others think of making the switch to organic, ethically reared meat.

About Coombe Farm Organic
Coombe Farm Organic is a meat selling business from Somerset, on a farm that the family have been farming since the 1940s, which also has a successful dairy business. When its owner Andrew Warren died in 1986, he donated it to a trust which became known as the A H Warren Trust. This trust has had a great push for diversification, which has led to a various businees such as a building contractor company, auto repair, sales garage, country pursuit shop, storage company and the Coombe Farm Organic. They emphasise principles of high animal welfare and land management, which is why they feel so strongly that their meat is of a higher quality, and the animals live happier lives, compared with sources for supermarket meat. The business is organically certified by the Soil association, and the RSPCA’s Freedom Food Scheme, and have invested in solar energy to power the farm, which is now nearly self-sufficient.

The produce for the business comes from multiple sources. Coombe Farm’s Billie Wilson rears beef and lamb to high organic standards which are used for the business products, while the pork is sources from Magdalen Farm, also in Somerset, and the chicken from Otter Valley poultry, 15 miles away from Coombe Farm. The venison comes from a farm in Devon, and the fish is sources from fisheries in Brixham and a salmon farm in Northern Ireland.
