Mugpods is a company founded around the idea of creating a wider selection of Nespresso machine compatible pods, and at a lower price. The business was founded in September of 2015, when co-founders Jack and Mike met up and agreed to go ahead with their plan of 1) Selling affordable and high quality Nespresso compatible coffee pods 2) Sell the worlds first multi beverage range of Nespresso pods, including hot chocolate, and milkshakes 3) Support their products with no minimum order, quick delivery and high quality customer service.
It started when Jack heard his colleagues talking about “clubbing together” for their coffee and the seeming lack of variety, and decided to set up PODiSTA, the worlds first Nespresso compatible pods with hot chocolate, milkshakes and other great flavour. The project was self-funded and after testing, the pair managed to set up a website, source their products and begin shipping out to customers in a matter of weeks. The popularity was immediate and the company has grown enough to have it own little office and warehouse. The success of the company shows in their nomination for “Startup business of the year” from Bolton & Bury.

Mugpods products on their website are divided into coffee pods, hot chocolate pods and milkshakes. Their pods have been tested across al Nespresso machines bar the Vertuoline. They are also 100% compatible with coffee machines from other brands and models, such as DeLonghi / Brevile Machines, LE Cube, all Essenza models as well as others. The beans for their coffee is sources from across Brazil, India, Vietnam, Uganda and Nicaragua, and are slow roasted Italian style in Australia. They are very proud of the quality of the coffee, the ethical production line it is sources from and most importantly their food grade BPA-free plastic, “next-generation” pod technology, which can be recycles.

Was really glad to have found mugpods. Fantastic tasting hot chocolate for my Nespresso machine. I love the mint after a meal. The coffee is great tasting as so much cheaper too. Will definitely be buying again.
