    Encore e6 starter pack never sent still chasing refund

    Terrible company! Purchased the starter kit in july to arrive in time for my sons birthday. Had to constantly chase for updates, never had tge promised call backs or responses to emails. Still advertised as instock delivered within 12 days. Was told there had been a delay with suppliers, then told items npe in stock witll be sent out. Then I was told they had no idea when i wpuld get my items but they had takem the momey to keep the order open. My sons lessons started in September so i purchased items needed from a local store and requested a refund and cancel order. CS advised this was going through and now 2 months from placing my order i am still cgasong my money...

    Firstly was charged £9.99 for slow delivery when it should have been free considering it was £489 and their policy states free over £99 and under 30kg, customer service was equally slow at replying to sort it out but wasn't too worried and then the real crunch came when I took delivery of a discontinued (for the past 3years), ex display MK1 version of the MK2 keyboard I had ordered. The MK2 box (which even stated Dawsons display model) had been opened, the newer model taken out and an old used MK1 model stuffed inside, this unit hasn't been sold for years and was covered in marks, how this could happen is beyond me!

    I then sent an admittedly colourful email sharing my disgust at their service and was called straight away, not so much to apologies but with an attempt at assertiveness to try and get ME to apologies for my language, rather than the diabolical service I had received. Absolutely ridiculous, use another company, there are so many good companies out there that would NEVER let this happen, go with GAK or DV

    Dawsons Music didn't get back to me yesterday with a Tracking Number and Carriers name. I was promised a call back today from the Customer Services Manager but this didn't happen...the Customer Service level is shocking!, I have now had correspondence with 4 members of the Team none of them seem able to help me with my outstanding order item...I have now involved the CEO of Dawsons Music and so it will be interesting to see if I get a result from him.
    I will continue to post updates until Dawsons complete my order and I actually take receipt of the outstanding item !


    Despite many phone calls and emails to Dawsons Customer Services, I STILL await the balance of my order as in my original review.
    I have been a loyal Customer over the years with Dawsons shops and online..but in my opinion, I find the service has very much gone downhill and Covid cant be blamed for this.
    I have spoken to Customer Service yet again today and asked them to complete my order this week with Carriers Name and Tracking number....I await this information today and if not received, I will post a further update on the situation.
    If I receive my order this week, I will also update this review

    Incorrect number of items delivered, poor response to communications !

by John Dawson, Dawsons Music has a history spanning more than a hundred years, making it one of the UK’s oldest music retailers. The company has to its name six stores spread across the UK, all of which stock an array of musical equipment including pianos & keyboards, guitars(acoustic and electric) amps, effects, drums, percussion, sheet music books, DJ equipment, orchestra instruments, as well as the most recent music technologies. Musicians run all of Dawson’s six stores; the same is true for the online store. Thus customers are sure of informed as well as professional advice and treatment

Dawsons Music Services
With six mortar and brick stores spread across the UK as well as an online store, Dawsons Music is the go-to place for all sorts of musical equipment, instruments, software and appurtenances. Pianos, guitars, drums, mixers, sheet music books, speakers, headsets, etc. Dawson Music has it all. 

Delivery Services
Customers can view the status of their orders at any time online. Items that are currently in stock get delivered within three days for all valid locations within the UK. Also, deliveries to UK mainland addresses are free for orders above £75 and up to 30kg. Delivery on orders below £75 is charged at £4.5. For deliveries outside the UK, please contact the customer service before placing your order. All orders are fully insured against loss or damage while in transit. If goods get damaged in transit, you can inform Dawson within two working days. This is to allow for a prompt claim to be made against the delivery company.

Refund and Return Policy
If you are dissatisfied with your online purchase, simply return it using an insured method of delivery, with all packaging intact, within 14 days. Dawson Music will exchange it for a product of equal value, or give you a full monetary refund. 

Finance Options
Dawsons Music understands that its customers may sometimes not have enough money to purchase the instruments they want. For this reason, Dawsons Music offers a range of options to customers. These options include 0% APR interest-free and low-interest loans on musical instruments and equipment. Customers can easily access these loans for a duration of 9 to 36 months.
