I Read Arabic

Digital technologies have ushered in a lot of new possibilities. Ideas that dream yesterday are fast becoming concrete realities today. Like in all spheres of human endeavour, digitization is causing serious disruptions in the education sector.  Digitization of education has brought about a serious focus on computer-aided teaching and learning. eLearning and online universities are prime examples of education gone digital. Similarly, the digital revolution has helped encourage educational organizations that traditionally have an electronic orientation such as open and distance learning institutions (ODLs). In contrast to their early days when they were regarded with scepticism and even disdain, ODLs are presently becoming more popular, thanks to eLearning and the internet that has helped provide solutions in a variety of areas such as payments systems, video conferencing, online discussion forums, digital libraries, among others. Digital reading platforms are another notable innovation of today’s internet age. These online resources are helping improve education from several perspectives, across all age levels. Digital reading platforms can be defined as Software as a Service (SaaS) which helps kids and adults to communicate with an electronic text through ways like reading and writing. They’re comprehensively designed to offer additional value to a clientele that includes students, parents, teachers, schools, and districts These online resources have been designed to help students and teachers in a variety of ways with the overall aim being to induce improvements in learners as well as take away some of the burdens of imparting knowledge from teachers. In other words, reading apps and digital libraries enable learners to read on their own, at a pace within their age and academic level. Several of these programs have also been designed for the classroom by making it possible for teachers to track and assess the progress of students.
