About AKG

AKG was founded in Vienna in 1947 by Dr. Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless, shortly after which the company became one of the leading producers of sound products worldwide. Within months of their launch, AKG microphones were being installed to record sound in radio stations and in theaters and Jazz-clubs. Such a mass success was acheived despite the company only operating on the work of five workers at that time. AKG started producing headphones in 1949 and continued to introduce various new electronic products in the early 1950s. Many of these products broke boundaries and set trends such as their remote-controlled microphone which ran with a multi-pattern capacitor, the world's first. One of their most famous microphones, the C 12 went on to be used by BBC London. A German subsidiary of the company was launched in 1955 and by the end of the 1950's their success had spread throughout the rest of Europe. Since then their success has increased exponentially with numerous expansions all over the world including subsidiaries in the US and the UK.

I own a video company cum studio where I shoot and record, voice/dubbing, advertisements, podcasts, and music videos as well. I have been using AKG for like last 12 years as a professional. I own more than 8-10 equipment on this company. I must say, if you are professional or even an enthusiast for audio, AKG works the BEST.
