    A colleague in office working in a different department always caught me staring at her whenever we crossed paths because of her dressing. Although we were not that close but because of her dressings, I was admiring her looks and one day I walked up to her and asked about where she does her clothing shopping. She smile and said, "go online and check dressbarn which I did immediately. I was wowed by the stock. In addition to the stock was quality. Another was free delivery option depending on the amount of total purchase and many others. The moment I was ready to purchase from Dressbarn, I registered and ordered for clothes basically those meant for work and beyond. The clothes are still serving me till date even as I have bought more. I simply love Dressbarn when it comes to my clothing needs.

Roslyn Jaffe, a wife and working mother saw the need for women in the workplace because it was a need of hers – an online store where women can purchase designer clothing pieces of different types and brands. The idea of offering “ fashion at a value” was unique at the time. Taking a time jump to the time before the first store sign had to be printed, Mr and Mrs Jaffe still hadn’t come up with a name. Two words came to the mind of Mrs J, “ dress” which spoke to women. And back then, “barn” spoke to discount or value.

The company claims that for 50 years, Dressbarn has grown to address the needs of modern women by offering options that have gone past just dressing for work.

Products and services of Dressbarn
Dressbarn offers a variety of products and services in diverse categories including clothing that features Athleisure, denim,  Jackets and clothes, Jumpsuits, loungewear etc. Dresses that feature day dresses, event dresses, fitted dresses, loose dresses etc. Other Categories are Collections, Beauty, Boutique, and Accessories.

Dressbarn affirms that they ship to all the 50 states in the United States of America, including APO/FPO addresses and U.S territories as well as countries including Canada. The company also offers a Standard delivery service which delivers using the United States Postal Service (USPS) and takes 3-5 business days and Expedited shipping which takes 2 business days. Dressbarn maintains that shipping and handling charges are dependent on the payment method and are non-refundable, even during returns.

Dressbarn accepts payments via MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and ATM/ debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo. Apple pay and store credit are also accepted.

Dressbarn has a return policy. Items must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date. Items eligible for return must be unworn, unwashed, in the original packaging, and have all the original tags intact. The company asserts that returns are processed 5-7 business days after receipt of the returned item.

With limited exceptions, returns are refunded through redeemable online store credit as far as the returned item(s) meets the necessary criteria. Dressbarn does not refund the original shipping charges. With limited exceptions, Pre-paid return labels are not provided by the company and customers are responsible for covering return shipping costs.
