About Frescobol Carioca
We quickly associate Rio de Janeiro with the beach, shorts and bikinis. Anything related to Rio is commonly referred to as ‘Carioca’ (after an indigenous tribe). As Carioca is in Frescobol Carioca’s name, the brand truly seeks to embody the spirit of Rio de Janeiro. 

Frescobol refers to a paddle ball game that is common in Rio de Janeiro. Frescobol is a kind of workout where you compete with your partner rather than against your partner. This distinguishes it from other beach sports such as beach tennis. Another difference between beach tennis and Frescobol is that Frescbobol uses no net. 

Frescobol Carioca, which has the beach sport in its name, sells the bats you can use to play the sport. But Frescobol Carioca offers much more than bats: swimwear, apparel and accessories are also available. 

Frescobol Carioca was found in 2009 in Brazil and its wooden accessories are still made in Brazil, handcrafted. Of course, Brazil is very famous for its beaches and the most iconic beaches are represented by Frescobol Carioca in its trunks, by using the mosaic pavements of the beaches as inspiration for the prints of shorts.

Frescobol Carioca sells many different types of shorts to perfect your beach look. There are tailored shorts, but for people who like to work out on the beach, there are sports shorts. In addition, surf shorts are available as well as the super-short sungas.

Sometimes you are in search of a beach-vibe even when you are not on the beach. You can bring the beach to your home, work or school with shirts, polos, trousers, (linen) shorts and T-shirts of Frescobol Carioca.

For some fun on the beach, whether you know the actual playing rules of frescobol or not, you can purchase Frescobol Carioca’s beach bats. They are available in many different colours and usually come with balls. To keep your bats in good condition, you can purchase a bat case. 

Pretty much everything that you would need at the beach is for sale at Frescobol Cariosa. You can purchase towels, surf- and skateboards, Panama hats, bags, belts and sunglasses. The towels and scarves are linen and the sunglasses are from L.G.R, an Italian manufacturer that makes high quality-eyewear.
