Order never received. Unable to get a reply from this company.. has been nearly a month. Phone line not available. No reply from.customer services.
I honestly think we will never receive the goods or our money again. Ripping people off and using covid as an excuse. It's an online company and whilst we appreciate some delay their trading practice is nothing but rogue!
If I could give a minus I would. 1 star is overdoing it.Awful customer service. They don’t get it.
2 Garden Arches at a cost of £1000+
5 weeks wait for order of 2 garden arches to arrive. (Despite the current difficult circumstances, this is unusual.) After numerous telephone calls, I was eventually notified that it had been dispatched, however, I was not informed of a delivery date. We are all NHS workers so it was fortunate that when they did arrive, someone was in. However, on unpacking the numerous pieces, some of which were not labelled, a number of essential parts were missing. Harrod phone lines had then been switched off due to "high demand" so I could only email them. Then I got an automated email saying they were very busy so they could take 7 working days to reply! So I trawled the internet for an alternative email address, eventually found one and got a reply the same day. Unfortunately the reply just said "they would look into it". What I wanted them to say was that they would send the missing items by next day delivery. Now I have been informed they will arrive "middle of next week". Am I supposed to take the whole week off work to wait in? Needless to say, despite just moving house and needing a lot of gardening items, I won't be ordering from this company again. Avoid at all costs.
Bean Frame
Poor Bean Frame and Poor Responsiveness
I am unhappy with the quality of the Slot and Lock frame and subsequent customer service. For the frame the instructions were OK but the parts supplied for robustly establishing a frame were lacking not allowing a strong frame to be made or the two parts to be connected. Finally when the frame was completed it did not sit on the ground evenly seeming to be bent. The eventual coup de gras was that the netting supplied did not fit the frame - it stated it was 4m by 2m but in actual fact the ends were more like 1m and the length was 3m. I have complained 10 days ago but have received no response from their customer service department. I know Covid is affecting service - I waited almost 5 weeks for delivery! But I do expect an email to be answered quickly. Not the usual standard I expect from Harrod Horticultural at all. Agree with previosu post Harrod Horticultural seems to have gone downhill - Very disappointed and will think hard before using them again.Shoddy
Something has gone wrong at Harrod Horticultural. We ordered a set of cloches. The UK Mail delivery driver dropped and broke them in our yard. Harrod sent replacements but the product was poor quality and shoddy. The company arranged for a driver to pick them. This turned out to be the same man who, when I kept him waiting for three minutes went into a fury and threatened to “knock you out.” I invited him to go ahead whereupon he drove off without the package. I reported the matter to Harrod whop said they could do nothing about it. Never again.
