The founders, Ralph Hawes and George Frederik Curtis, established the first Hawes & Curtis store at the Piccadilly Arcade. The shop has been visited by some notable customers including Frank Sinatra, the Duke of Windsor, Fred Astaire and Lord Mountbatten. Their shop contains clothes for both men and women. Their shop contains a wide range of shirts. They can supply you with a tailored shirt, wedding shirt, non-iron shirt, poplin shirt, evening shirt, button-down shirt or shirt with a high collar. There is even a selection of extra slim shirts or shirts with a classic fit. But no matter how nice and fashionable a shirt is, you need more. Hawes & Curtis can supply you with a suit consisting of trousers, waistcoats and a jacket. And to finish the outfit, there is a selection of ties in all colours and prints. A neutral plain tie is formal, but you can choose a geometric, floral, spotted or striped tie if you want to add an eyecatcher. And they don’t stop at formal clothes. There is also a selection of casual clothing. Their range consists of T-shirts, weekend shirts, shorts, knitwear, chinos, blazers, tweeds, polo shirts and suede jackets.
