Hipanema is a company that offers bracelets. The company was founded when Jenny and Delphine, two girls from Paris, met in Rio de Janeiro. They were inspired by the flashy colours of the country and decided to bring some of that Brazilian glamour home with them. The bracelets they brought with them started to break after a few years, so they decided to create their own clips and ties. That was when Hipanema was born. The bracelet was considered the “must have” of the summer of 2012. Now, they offer large cuffs, men’s bracelets, necklaces, bangles, chokers, mini cuffs, keyrings and earrings. After their bracelet had become successful, the founders also launched Amenapih, a Ready to wear collection. This collection contains items such as embellished collars and shinny trims that are delicately hand-stitched on accessories such as hats and gloves. The collection was, for a great deal, inspired by ‘Le Petrolleuses’, a French film.
