The company know as Homecrafts started in 1994, but its root stretch back as far as 1907, when the ‘grandfather company’ Dryad Handicrafts was founded by Harry H. Peach. Peach held a strong belief in using good tools and quality materials to create lasting and often practical pieces of work, and the current owners of the company hold a very similar philosophy. Nowadays, the company consists of a team of experts that have gathered the best tools and skill to develop the next generation of techniques and products, using every material and practice available to them.
Here is a little introducution to the company
The company employees all work in one work space testing products and adding to their selection of products and guides. Though there are no phycial outlets, the company puts a lot of emphasis on customer service, and they offer advice to anyone that calls them or emails about art and craft working they are struggling with. The team working at the centre are all described as enthusiast professionals of the work themselves and are said to be more than willing to bestow some of their artistic experience.
You can take a tour of their workspace in the video above
The website features a massive range of 16,000 arts and crafts split between the topics of sewing and textiles, art materials, paper crafts, craft essentials, modeling and finally printing. The products seem to include anything a craft enthusiast could hope to find, from drawing and painting tools, to fabrics, paints, glues, plastics and woods. This wealth of materials comes hand in hand with links to written guidance for craft and art. This content ranges from simple pointers to wholesale craft projects, and downloadable guides which are constantly being added to by the company’s team. The company deliver these materials and tools all across the UK, and free UK delivery is advertised for any order over the value of £40.
