Hope Fashion

About Hope Fashion
Hope Fashion was founded by Nayna MacIntosh, who after working for year at clothing brands, including helping set up Asda’s George brand, decided there was not enough clothing available for older women. She realised that by the time women were middle-aged or older, the clothing aimed at them had lost all fashion or style, and that this needed correcting. This is why Nayna started a company with clothing aimed at 40+ women, and only uses women of that age in their modelling campaigns.

Hope's designs draw inspiration from the Coco Channel quote “Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions”. Inspiring all of their clothing, the company uses the Hope Code, which is a stylistic guidance based on the first principles of the The Divine Proportion. The Divine Proportion is found in nature, science and art and represents the perfect balance of working in thirds, and never halves. Hope uses this principle of thirds to design all of its clothing and encourages it customers to dress using it, as it can make a person seem taller. They also source all of their clothing from UK weavers and manufacturers, bringing together some of the UKs best talent. The Kashmir, for example, is sources from a Welsh producer which has a Royal Warrant, showing the heritage and quality going into the clothing. The brand has grown steadily since launching and has been featured in The Times, Good Housekeeping, Daily Telegraph and Hello! Daily News.


Services of Hope Fashion
Hope offers a wide range of clothing, which is divided into the categories of New In, Foundations (a collection of layering pieces to create flattering silhouettes), Dresses, Knitwear, Bottoms, Tops, Accessories, Outerwear and Sale.’ Hope has also launched an innovative shopping technique, with Hope at Home events, where groups of women and meet to try clothing together and with a Hope Stylist, or they customers can book a one to one styling session with a Hope Stylist.

Hope Fashion offer free UK delivery for any order over £150, as well as free UK returns and a free trouser alteration service. Nayna MacIntosh also publishes a news blog on the website which not only includes new released and trends in fashion, but interview members of staff or weavers, and highlights some of the inspiration for Hope’s clothing pieces.
