Original Organics is one of the UKs leading manufacturers and distributors for composting and recycling techniques for people’s homes, patenting their own models. The company started its ideas in the 1980s with a group of keen organic gardeners and environmentalists testing some DIY designs and ideas. After a lot of development and trialling, the company successfully filed for UK and European patent rights for their design, which they labelled the Wormery, though that has since be taken on as the generic name for any worm composters. The company got their first big break when the BBC TV gardening journalist Geoff Hamilton featured them on a BBC Gardner's World programme, which was followed by many other television appearances, and press coverage about their products.
Unsurprisingly, the company is driven by primarily environmental principles, hoping to reduce the impact of humans on the world. Much of their manufacturing uses recycled materials, such as their composters which are 100% recycled plastic. This is instead of large plastic companies which their competition often uses, that use damaging injection plastic. Their factory also goes to great length to minimise or recycle all food, plastic or paper waste created by the office. The company is still based in Hitchen and exports internationaly. They were acquired in January 2016 by Gutter Mate Ltd.

The first product on their page is of course their patented Wormeries, which are compost bins that use worms to recycle food waste into a fertilising soil for your garden. I have owned a great space backyard, original organics helped me to setup a composite ground , also helped on the recycling waste material to the organic farming techniques. Now I have a beautiful oraganic mini-farm and even looking for expanding it.
