About East Midlands Trains
Established in 2007 and owned by Stagecoach, East Midlands Trains is a combination of some of the previous Eastern routes of the Central Trains company as well as the Midland Mainline franchise, allowing the company to cover routes all the way from Scarborough to Liverpool to London. One of East Midlands Trains core values is respecting and caring for their customers. In order to encourage this perception of their company and encourage customers to rely on them a series of cartoon advertisements was released to demonstrate the East Midlands Trains staff always going the extra mile to ensure an ideal customer experience.

East Midlands Trains four categories of route options consist of London Services, Regional Services, Connections to Europe and Trains to the Airport. The on-train options of seats are standard, first and business class. The transport company also offer 15 free minutes of Wi-Fi on each train and for any train delay over 30 minutes, the Delay Repay scheme ensures that customers are able to receive compensation for the inconvenience if claimed within 14 days. These can be claimed via bank transfers, PayPal, cheques and train vouchers. In order to encourage the environmental benefits of travelling by bike, the company provides facilities for customers with bicycles such as cycle hubs for storing the bikes on board and free bicycle storage facilities in 87 out of their 89 train stations. However, for certain popular routes such as the London services and the Liverpool to Norwich route on which bikes are common, it is necessary to book a place on board for your bike ahead of time. Furthermore, passengers are welcome to bring a maximum of three luggage items on board, and cats, dogs, birds and other small domestic animals can be carried on board without payment, however, there is a maximum of two per person, animals and cages cannot take up a seat, and the animals must be enclosed at all times, except for dogs which can be kept on a lead.

I've travelled with all the big UK train companies, and East Midlands were about as comfortable and easy to book (though I booked with trainline), but I twice tried to purchase wifi on boards, both times which failed but I was still charged.
I've since tried to call them to get a refund but it takes so long, it's making it not worth the 8 pounds I'd get in return.
Whether I travel for official purposes or just to visit my friends on other side, I always prefer East Midlands Trains. It is comfortable, economical, cheap and enjoyable offering great asssurance for a good journey.
