Gift hotel is a company that does not keep its commitments. In fact, my partner's company offered us a gift hotel gift card. So we looked for a destination where it was possible to find a hotel near a diving club. We therefore chose the destination of Nosy Be and we reserved a hotel on June 14, 2023 for a departure on November 19, 2023, i.e. 5 months in advance, 15 minutes from the diving club. On October 16, 2023, 1 month before leaving, gift hotel simply announced to us that we no longer had a room in the reserved hotel. In fact, hotels that work with gift hotel practice overbooking. Even if this practice is not prohibited, it is highly controversial and is not up to the standard of a company which, according to itself, sets impeccable customer service as a priority. The solution proposed by gift hotel is a hotel located 40 minutes drive from the diving club and the workplace of our friends who work in Nosy Be. Although we informed them of this difficulty and the impossibility for us to drive 1 hour 20 minutes a day every day, no solution was found. The conclusion: if you use gift hotels you can find yourself without accommodation almost on the eve of your trip.

Received a voucher but have been unable to use it. When I try to book via their website I get an errors message, and then the hotel disappears from the search list next time I search.
It then reappears with available rooms the next day, so I suspect it's to do with cookies in the browser.
I am unable to contact them via the phone as they don't provide any phone numbers.
I would definitely never recommend it or buy it for anyone.Received £230
After a lot of messing about finally booked a hotel up in Barnsley for 4nights had to cancel due to COVID hotel gift told me I lost all the money a retirement present from my work colleagues don’t ever use this company a big rip off
Hotel gift card
We were given a hotel gift card for £200 as a wedding gift. J have been trying to redeem it for an overnight break in a nice UK city with no luck. Same error message keeps coming up.

Don't ever use this company. My mom bought me a gift card from hotelgift.com for my birthday. You can't book through triple AAA at a good rate or other companies like Booking com. You have to go through their website and get gouged by their high prices. Look at other reviews, the rooms are all booked, super expensive, or the site doesn't work. The manager at the Best Western could not even use it. Just a scam!

Hopeless web site with only available search via City. You cannot even view a list of hotels to click on. Way overpriced compare to other portals for the same room and date. Constant errors coming up if you are lucky enough to find somewhere just so you can spend your voucher. Only buy this as a gift if you absolutely hate the person....
Totally agree. When I did manage to find something,which is hard due to having a pot luck delve in to the hotels in the area of whatever city it is under. We paid and two days before we were due to stay,got an e mail cancelling the night due to the hotel not having enough guests in or something like that. We were refunded straight away and booked something else.

Save your money.
Hotels are much more expensive than booking directly. Their website is so archaic and difficult to navigate.
To top it all off, even though staying away has been difficult this year, they wouldn't even give a 2 month extension to the voucher - so lost a load of money by choosing safety - extremely disappointing.hotel gift voucher
Been trying and failing to use a gift voucher on this site for over a year. The website is literally useless, the search functionality is only designed to show you what they want you to see. You can't for example, search for all spa hotels available in the UK. You have to go through by city. I contacted hotelgift about this and they didn't care.
If by some miracle you do find something you want to book, it will fail and you will be informed that the amount needed to top up your purchase above the amount on your gift card has been retained by hotelgift for use on future purchases. Surely this is illegal? In what circumstance is it ok for a purchase to fail and the company to take money from your credit card so you are forced to use them again?N/a
Been trying for days to try and order a hotel via this site. All I can say is, the worst site I have ever been on . Also to add,I thought it was just me ?. But I see many others feel the same. Its driven me crazy. It does not recognise Cities e.g Faro ! Towns or even places in the UK. I could go on for hours about this poor designed , layout , search process. The list is endless.
Hotel gift voucher
I had a terrible experience that's not been resolved as of yet.
So far I've tried booking different hotels, different rooms in different cities- after entering all the booking information every time it throws an error and I then get an email notification to say that the room I selected is sold out please try another room.
So I was charged the top up amounts (full cost - value of voucher) for each of these rooms. I've still not had these refunded to my bank. I have to wait a further 4 business days.
They've now asked me to book it via email with them (which they said it still may not work due to availability)
