I don't have to make him special meals any more.
Kitchen-table decision
Sat at the kitchen table, email open and a mug half full, I almost didn't click. I've been burned by promo offers before. This subscription keeps my spaniel's bowl happy every week, so I was tempted to restart. I clicked the link. The 20% never showed up. No free bag of treats either. I complained. Their first reply was odd — as if I invented the offer. I sent the email again. Eventually they offered to apply the discount on my next order. Small win. Still, it felt a bit like being fobbed off. Useful product, but my trust took a hit.
Quietly relieved
would like clearer guidance on gradual switches, but Jen mentioned the chew and gut tablets next time so I'll try those. Recommend giving them a ring if you're wobbly.
Not the right fit for us
this kibble didn't suit our dogs. I first saw it on All About Dog Food and, like many, gave it a go. At first I thought it was fine. Then my smaller dog began to lose weight. He kept going down despite me feeding more than the packet suggested. He dropped to 6.6 kg. That made me check portions and compare with our 20 kg bulldog, who was also slimming down faster than expected. Not subtle. On 30 January I switched both dogs over to Bella & Duke. Within a few weeks the smaller dog climbed back to 7 kg. That surprised me — I didn't expect such a clear change. I'm not saying it's rubbish for everyone. Lots of dogs might be fine on it. For us it was the wrong fit. Switched food and problem solved.
Proper lifesaver for a fussy pup
he eats regularly now and asks for second portions, which feels like a miracle after months of worry. I was put off by the sticker price at first (about £77 a month) but it's justified given the improvement. I've had two deliveries so far, both on time and well packed, and the support team answered a billing query quickly. I'm relieved.
