cramped, quite dark and hardly any view of the runway, so not what I was expecting at an airport lounge. I got there around 07:30 to catch breakfast — if you can call the trays they put out breakfast — and it felt like they were trying to make very little last a long time. Staff were oddly distracted; I kept having to tell them dishes were empty while one member seemed deep in conversation about personal stuff and another was clearly wrapping up a shift. Tables weren’t cleared properly either, a few were left dirty for a while. The whole thing is usable if you just need a place to sit and wait, but the way the booking was altered without asking and the sleepy service left a bad impression. Not terrible, but definitely not seamless or particularly welcoming.
Partial cancellation went wrong
Halfway through packing for a trip, I had to deal with a cancellation. I’d booked for four, two friends couldn’t make it after a bereavement. I emailed the names asking to remove them, but they cancelled all four. I rebooked for two, payment taken, then a message saying there was a problem — lounge full and they’d refund us. I use the lounge for coffee and a bit of work before flights; it's handy. Now I’m waiting up to five days for the refund, everything by email, no phone number.
Lost-and-found lounge moment
the moment I actually felt pleased was when I finally flopped into a proper armchair and tucked into a surprisingly decent curry (not what I’d pictured, but it did the trick). Staff were clearly flustered and the food options were basic, so come prepared — patience, snacks, and screenshots of your booking help.
