    Airport transfer service issues

    The customer service I received from the company was good and they were polite, which was a positive part of my experience. However, I did find that there was a bit of confusion and inconvenience due to the lack of clarity regarding the age classification for children and the cancellation policy. I didn't realise that a child is considered an adult if they are 12 or older, and that free cancellation is only allowed within 7 days prior to cancelling, with a deduction of £10 if it's after that. Also, I was surprised to learn that the initial refund is in the form of a voucher, as this wasn't made clear at the start. I know that all this info is probably in the small print, but I missed these details and it caused some problems with my booking. When I tried to change a child to an adult through the chat feature to fix things, I was told I'd have to cancel and rebook, which was annoying and took up a lot of my time.

    Quick problem identification and resolution

    I was really impressed by the service I got from Holiday Extras. The guy I dealt with, let's call him Marc, was fantastic at figuring out my problem and sorting it out quickly. He got what was going on straight away and was very proactive in getting it fixed. I think other companies could learn a thing or two from the amazing customer service at Holiday Extras. Overall, I was really happy with the service I received.

    Insurance purchase over telephone

    We had a chat late in the afternoon and it went on for a bit because we weren't sure which insurance to go for. The lady on the phone was really good, she was patient and polite the whole time. We were relieved that we ended up getting the right insurance in the end. Thanks a lot.

    Car parking

    I parked in Silverzone from 12 April - 19 April 2024. I picked up the car and immediately there I opened the door a strong sweet smell of perfume, my car was left in gear, the air conditioning was on full warm air, the radio volume was blasting and on the wrong radio station, my sat nat has also dissapeared but only discovered this on drive home. Clearly my car has been used by someone NOT just to move it. This is unecceptable on the drive home I felt sick because even with the windows open I cannot get rid of the smell of this sweet perfume, I am going to have to get the car valeted.
    When I leave my car at Silverzone I do not expect any of my settings to be moved or messed with ( except seat distance from pedals). It is now going to cost me yo sort the smell and my sat nav. Why the radio and settings were messed with I don’t know. I should also point out that it is dangerous to leave a car in gear! Luckily I always check.

    Cancelled Holiday

    I had to cancel my holiday for a whole month and it was really stressful. The folks I spoke to were fantastic and helped sort out all my errors. Luckily, I managed to get everything refunded in vouchers for the hotel parking, lounge, and room. Thanks once more, I definitely suggest them 😄 x

    Airport car park experience

    I've had a good experience using an airport car park company, I've used them many times without any problems and recommended them to friends who also had good experiences. However, recently I had a big issue when my car registration wasn't recognised at the exit, and I was charged an extra £55.00. I've contacted them twice but still no response or investigation after 12 days. The lack of customer service afterwards and not dealing with complaints has left me feeling disappointed and out of pocket. It's a shame to see profits being put before customer satisfaction in these cases.

    Online booking with correct Car Reg No

    I just booked some car parking and travel insurance online with this company. Last time I went to Newcastle, the car park staff messed up my car reg number, but this time I double-checked everything. It all went really smoothly and I got out fine. The travel insurance was pretty good value, but I was gutted to see that they don't cover people over 85.

    Airport parking, hôtel ...amp... meals

    I booked full package airport parking, hotel ... meal in good faith of their moto, free cancellation for a one time trip to visit family in the US.
    On booking I realised that it had gone through without children, family room. Cancelled the next day.
    I never received booking confirmation or cancellation, money had not left the account. I check it still hadn’t gone so thought it had just cancelled. On checking my credit card balance I could see it had gone out!
    I had to download an app to see booking, was then advised you are issued with a voucher to redeem within 14 days. I’d spent a week sorting out trying to understand, no previous notification of it…why would I think free cancellation was not what it said on the tin!
    Anyway…refusing to refund me my £356 so having to go through FCA..fingers crossed!

    Shuttle Bus Service

    It was a pretty good experience overall, but things got a bit chaotic with all the people at the bus drop-off and pick-up spots. If you happened to miss a bus, be prepared to wait a while for the next one. Waiting outside wasn't ideal, but I'd probably use the service again.

    Valet parking purchase

    I recently bought valet parking services and it was a really bad experience. The instructions on where to go were not clear at all and were hidden in a complicated link in an email, which made it really inconvenient. On top of that, the customer service I got was terrible - it took ages to get a reply, and even then, they didn’t want to fix the problem. I definitely won’t be using this service again and I suggest going for official airport parking instead for a better time.
