I hesitated before ordering — worried they'd send unrequested parcels, even rang to cancel. In the end it arrived exactly as ordered. I use it every day for work lunches, so those worries have really gone. Pleasantly surprised.
Good stuff but massive tablets
Basically I’d recommend these — they actually helped my aching back — but the tablets are gigantic. I needed something after years of bad backs and a previous brand failed me. Glad they work, just wish they were smaller.
Paper hype mostly right
I started using these years ago after a newspaper mention — was wary. First box felt robust, bottles click neatly, doses easy to judge. Took time to trust them, but customer help was spot on.
They remembered us
After ordering they phoned to offer a repeat service with a 10% discount — they'd checked our order history and knew we re‑order every six months. Delivery arrived on time; service was helpful, not flawless though.
Helpful, if cautious
Good support so far; I still haven't placed an order though. They've phoned twice about a product query and said they'd chase it up again, which is rare — I've had other firms vanish on me. Not perfect, but it works.
Left on the step, surprisingly OK
Bought these after a mate swore by them; I kept putting off ordering because I feared dodgy deliveries. Came home from holiday to a sodden-looking box on the doorstep — courier ignored my note, again. Box battered but supplements fine, so oddly relieved.

Lipid numbers improved
Funny thing, my latest lipid results finally came into range after I started taking these. I take two a day, so roughly 1.6g, alongside a smear of Activia spread, extra virgin olive oil and a mostly wholefood plant-based diet. No statins, no real side effects. Bit relieved — feels like a sensible tweak.
Not exactly speedy
promised 2–3 working days but suddenly "up to eight" — took ages, a bit sloppy, not ideal when you're hungry.
Bigger than I remembered
I was half chewing my toast when I opened the pack and found they're much bigger now. I take them every morning with my coffee, so that was a surprise. Delivery was spot on and customer service actually got back to me and offered a refund, but I do miss the old size.
Good product, bad timing
I wasn't sure before ordering — the site shouted '48‑hour delivery' and I thought, really? I ordered on 28th before a Bank Holiday. It turned up three days late via Yodel. Customer service just apologised, no real answers. Item itself was fine when it arrived, so a relief, but trust in the timing is gone.
Odd start, decent finish
strange that they couldn't say if customs would apply. I was a bit sceptical and annoyed. I called and emailed. The team were vague at first, then came back after checking and said no extra fees — which was a relief. Delivery turned up faster than I expected. Not brilliant on info, but it worked out.

please make them smooth or offer capsules, would help.
Proper gear, dodgy website
Really satisfied with the stuff, but the site is a hassle so don't expect a smooth ride. I first saw them after a mate recommended them and I tipped another friend later. Product descriptions were spot on and prices fair — surprisingly good quality for the price. Service and delivery were okay, though the site kept crashing and a voucher expired while I struggled to check out. Annoyed by the ridiculous packaging and unwanted paper brochures, even after asking.
Finally sorted, but a faff
Opening the box, I saw the dent and just knew this was going to be awkward. I'd ordered it as a birthday present — had used them for years — so I emailed with photos. First reply was useless, they offered an empty replacement container, which was ridiculous for a sealed gift. After a couple more messages they actually sent a proper sealed replacement. Not perfect, took time, a bit of bother, but it worked in the end and the recipient was pleased.
A bit wary, then pleasantly surprised
I’ve been ordering from these lot for years — about £350 a year for me and my husband, mostly joint supplements. At first I thought the free delivery would be slow, but it’s usually stupidly quick and the brochures with tips land in the doormat often. As someone with dodgy knees I rely on their stuff to keep walking the dog and gardening. Customer service has been calm and helpful when I’ve phoned, so overall pleased.
Kept waiting, got the runaround
they admitted it wasn't in stock when they said it was. Asked for money back, told refund to PayPal in 3–5 working days. It did show up eventually as a refund, but the whole thing felt sloppy. I wouldn't use them again.
Too big to swallow, decent support
Took the plunge and ordered the max-strength glucosamine sulphate because my knees had been playing up after moving house and the 1500mg tablets weren't cutting it. The tablets are a pain — big and very hard. I tried to swallow, tried biting them, tried cutting them in half, and my teeth complained; even halves felt like a choking hazard. In the end I went back to the 1500s because I couldn't manage the 1858s. SS rang that day and offered a full refund for the ones I couldn't swallow, even though I knew I was past their 30-day window. Brilliant service, unexpected, would buy from them again but stick to the smaller dose.
Oddly disappointing
decent dispatch speed, simple site. Lately though they sent a subscribe-and-save order to my mum's house — she died 16 months ago — and I only found out when my card got charged, because they don't warn you before dispatch. I called hoping someone would be a bit compassionate and sort a refund or at least stop future orders, but they just cancelled the subscription and left me out of pocket for goods I never received. Bit annoyed and sad, so I'm moving suppliers.
Not what I expected, but it worked out
Saw these on the shelf in the chemist after my sister nudged me to try them, and I’m oddly glad I did. At first they were a bit of a faff — noticeably larger than older versions and the surface felt rough, so they stuck to my tongue and I nearly gagged a couple of times. I tried splitting them but the edges were scratchy, same problem. Then I crushed one into a spoonful of yoghurt and suddenly it was all fine, so that’s my go-to now. Bit annoying I had to experiment, but honestly I’m relieved it’s usable and I even tipped my mate about the yoghurt trick.
