I was on the fence before ordering these cereal bars. I needed something grab-and-go because my lower back's been acting up and cooking is a faff, so thought they'd be handy for shifts. I'd tried them before and liked them, so I placed another box despite noticing that the last couple had very short best-before windows. I didn't notice the exact date on this listing, otherwise I probably wouldn't have ordered. They turned up quickly and neatly packed, but the first bar I tried had that dull, slightly stale chocolate note — not quite right, not fresh. The oat bits were still fairly crunchy though, which was the only surprising bit. I contacted customer service asking for a refund and got a standard reply saying they can't take back opened items and it's still in date, so no fault. Bit annoying, feels like you're paying near £26 for a roll of the dice. Won't order again without checking dates first, at least delivery was efficient.

they checked my basket, confirmed my item's weight, and applied the advertised £7.50 rather than the extra banding charge. So yes, I went ahead. First impression had swung from annoyed to impressed; the agent was clear and efficient, and I’m actually glad I pushed to ask. Still think the site could be clearer, but happy with how they handled it — grateful, really. Would recommend but check the T&Cs first, please.
