Honestly, I'd buy this again — it's just easy and reliable. Portions hit the spot, not tiny and not massive; and if you're in the mood for something sweet they do a few decent puddings too. Meals heat through in a couple of minutes in the microwave, you don't come away peckish, which is handy. I usually order a fortnight's worth and the same driver turns up most weeks (unless he's away), so it's familiar and simple. Service has been spot on. Food is well balanced, veg included, freezes well and doesn't taste like reheated cardboard. I've tried other companies and some are cheaper, but for convenience and taste this is my go-to.
Decent delivery, poor roast
vegetables looked soggy, definitely more liquid than you'd expect. After the recommended 40 minutes the potatoes were still firm, so I left it in another 10 minutes but they barely improved. Chicken itself was a small helping, and the gravy was ultra-thin. Little sprouts looked tiny — odd. Rang customer services and it felt like talking to somebody who didn't want to help. Won't bother again.
Delivery star, food flop
packaging looked fine, steam and smell promising. Then the steak and kidney pie... oh dear, I can't think of a nicer way to put it, the 'pastry' was like cardboard soaked in something vague, and the filling lacked any character. Corned beef hash was similarly off, tasted odd and overly processed when I tried a forkful. Dessert was the last straw — the apricot crumble was bitter and more like a purée than fruit, which felt wrong. I'm left cross and a bit deflated — pity, because the delivery chap was lovely. We'll use up the rest but won't re-order; planning to go back to M&S via Ocado.
Billing muddle spoiled the surprise
I thought I was being thoughtful, but the whole payment side was a mess. I ordered a festive meal for a mate and, while the food itself turned up fine, the charges got all mixed up. My card was used again later for things I didn't buy — which felt wrong, honestly. On another occasion the discount I paid for was deducted from his order, so he ended up having to pay when it arrived. That double-handling of money is tiring. The manager said it only happens now and then, but "now and then" still shouldn't be a thing. I have had issues with human error at other firms before, so I wasn't totally shocked, just annoyed. What saved it a bit was that the delivery was on time and the person dropping it off was pleasant, so in the end my friend enjoyed the meal and that mattered. I'm a bit relieved it didn't turn into a complete disaster. Still, be careful ordering for someone else. If they sort their billing system this would be a solid choice. Slightly grateful it worked out, but I'd be wary next time.
Not what I’d hoped
I’ll tell you straight — I ordered from them because I’m stuck at home and thought a ready meal would be a small treat. First delivery arrived on time, polite driver, everything boxed nicely, so that part was fine. I tried the slightly posher chef-style dishes because, well, I thought they’d be better. The mains were passable, you know, edible, warmed up and all that, but the veg were limp and tasteless, which surprised me. The Coq au Vin was the worst; it felt watery, the chicken lacked any depth and the sauce did nothing. I used to cook it properly years ago and this was miles off — not ruined, but not right. Later I heated the lasagne and honestly I couldn’t face it for lunch, it was heavy and a bit stodgy; my only option was a jam sandwich instead, which is a sad lunch for someone who likes her food. I’m 91 and used to manage proper catering admin at a hospital, so maybe my standards are old-fashioned, but I do notice. Having said all that, the customer team were helpful on the phone and the delivery was efficient, so I appreciate those bits. I’m glad someone was nice about it and that the service side works, but the meals need a proper tweak in flavour and veg texture. I’ll give them another go maybe, but for now I’m back to the supermarket ready meals that don’t pretend to be clever.
That salmon moment
bits that used to feel like a treat became a bit samey, some of the perks quietly vanished (we all notice these things), and the veggie/pescatarian choices felt narrower and heavier on cheese than you'd hope. As a pescatarian I started hunting the menu for options that weren't dripping in saturated fat or syrupy sauces, and that was a job in itself. Oh, and the cooking can be fiddly — potatoes in a few meals always seemed stubbornly underdone while the peas were mushy, which is annoying when you just want to heat and eat. I rang once or twice with feedback; the local staff were kind and listened, but the odd hard potato kept happening, which meant reheating bits separately and faffing around, not ideal. Then this one salmon meal came along and it was a proper turnaround: evenly cooked, the sauce had a fresh twist I didn't expect, the veg were spot on, and the potatoes actually had bite without being chalky. That moment — the taste, the texture, the simple pleasure of not having to fix anything — is when I knew I was genuinely satisfied again. I was pleasantly surprised by how a single dish can change the whole mood of an order; I even tried a couple more in the same range and they were consistently better. Prices have crept up and occasionally you wonder if it's worth it compared to a fancy supermarket grab, but the convenience, the reliable delivery and the human touch from the drivers and callers keep me coming back. When they get it right it's brilliant, and those unexpected little wins — like that salmon — are why I keep placing orders, despite the ups and downs. So, overall happy, hopeful they keep doing more of the good ones and tweak the odd undercooked potato here and there.
Dinners, desserts and cake
have been having these for a long time and only one complaint, and that was quickly dealt with and replaced, no hassle.
The vegetarian meals are inspiring and tasty, and the fruit cake exceptional but found the scones in the cream tea were very dry.
Friendly and helpful when ordering by phone.
Delivery person clean, pleasant and trustworthy and sometimes is the only person I see or speak to all week so that counts for a lot to me.Meal delivery service
I love being able to order online, it's just so easy and convenient. They deliver to my area twice a week which is perfect for me. I really appreciate the email updates, they keep me in the loop until my delivery arrives. And the delivery person is always so friendly and smiling, it makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thanks for such a great service!
Prepared meals for elderly relatives
I've been using this service for a while now to get meals for my elderly relatives, and overall it's been pretty good. I've noticed that some deals are only available if you order over the phone, which can be a bit annoying if you prefer ordering online. But despite that, my relatives have really enjoyed the meals they've received. They're especially missing the luxury fish pie, which was a favourite that's no longer available. But, in general, I've found the service to be reliable and the meals to be of a decent quality.
Meal delivery service for mum
I've sorted out a meal delivery service for my mum and it's been really great. She's really pleased with the quality of the meals and finds it super convenient that they come straight to her door. The delivery driver even put them straight into the freezer for her, which was a nice touch. The customer service team have been fantastic, really friendly and helpful to deal with.
Frozen meals delivery
Honestly, I think the frozen meals delivery service is top quality. They always turn up on time just like they say, and the person who does the deliveries is really friendly. I've never had any issues with their service, and I would definitely suggest them to anyone wanting easy and tasty meals.
Ready meals
I really like buying my ready meals from this place because the food is absolutely delicious! They have a wide variety of meals to pick from, but I do wish the Asian options had a bit more spice to them. I understand that not everyone enjoys spicy food though.
Ready meals purchase
I've been getting ready meals from this company for a good while, and I have to say, it's been really great. Having delicious and healthy meals ready to go whenever I need them is just the best. I've ordered over the phone and also used the app, and the customer service team has always been top-notch - so efficient, friendly, and really helpful. The app is simple to use, which makes ordering a piece of cake. It's a weight off my mind knowing I can count on this service for those times when I don't fancy cooking for myself.
Tasting offer
I thought I'd try out the tasting offer and I went for the cottage pie beef with Yorkshire pudding, along with the beef hotpot. The cottage pie was really satisfying and delicious, but the beef hotpot was rich and filling. However, the fish cake with sauté potatoes and mushy peas was a bit disappointing. The potatoes were undercooked and tough, the peas were too watery, and the fish cake was small, mushy, and not very appetising. Despite this mixed experience, I might give some other dishes a go to see if it was just a one-time thing.
Meal deliveries
I've been using this meal delivery service for a while now, and I must say I've really enjoyed the wide range of meals they offer. I especially love the mini meals - they're just right for when I fancy something light. The customer service is top-notch, with staff always going out of their way to help. The delivery drivers are friendly and reliable, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this service to anyone on the lookout for tasty meal choices.
Meals with variety
I've been using this meal delivery service for a while now, and I have to say, I'm always impressed with the range of choices they have. Whatever my dietary needs, I can always find something that works for me. Being able to make my own list of favourite meals has made a big difference for me. It's much quicker and easier to order now, as I can just choose from my usual options without having to look through the whole menu every time. The food is always tasty, and I've never had any issues with the quality. The chefs really do a great job, and I'm grateful for the effort they put into coming up with new and exciting dishes for us to enjoy.
Quick and convenient meal delivery
My order was spot on. Ordering was a breeze with lots of choices, no trouble at all. The delivery came right on time, the driver was really nice and helpful. All in all, it was a top experience that I'd definitely suggest to others.
Meal delivery service
The phone service was really helpful and efficient, the delivery driver was friendly and on time. The meals were top-notch and well-priced. All in all, I had a fantastic experience.
Variety of meals including roast beef dinner, sweet and sour chicken, and cottage pie
I recently got a mix of meals from this service, like a roast beef dinner, sweet and sour chicken, and cottage pie. The roast beef dinner was top-notch, with really lean beef and a yummy gravy. The Brussels and carrots made a nice change from the usual peas. The sweet and sour chicken was also really good, with tender chicken and decent rice. However, the cottage pie was just alright, with a few chewy bits of mince. All in all, I would definitely order again for the quality of the meals that I did like.
Meal selection
I was really impressed with the service from this company. Picking the meals I wanted was so easy with plenty of choices available. The delivery driver wasn't just helpful, but also really friendly, which made everything even better. It was great to have next day delivery and the offer to put my order in the freezer was a nice extra touch. And taking away all the recycling was a big help too. Overall, I couldn't find any fault with the service I got from this company.
