Family history website
Oh my goodness, this website is incredibly cool! It's like a goldmine of family history goodies. I can't believe how user-friendly it is. You can create your own family tree and uncover all sorts of fascinating information about your ancestors. It feels like embarking on a really exciting adventure without even stepping out of your house. Plus, they have an abundance of information from all corners of the globe. It's as if you have a super stealthy detective assisting you in locating your distant relatives. I just can't seem to get my fill of it!
Researching Family History
As someone new to looking into my family history, I gotta say, this platform is really useful. I found out loads of stuff about my family's past that I never knew before. There were loads of records to check out, all packed with info. What really got me was how easy it was to use the site - super simple to find my way around and get to the records I wanted. Though, I reckon they could do with giving free access to younger folks, 'cos the trial system might put some off starting their family tree journey.

As someone really passionate about discovering my family history, I must say this platform has been an absolute gem. Interesting service
My father is no more and before his death ,told us his birth was in Kolkata,India during British Rule.
During some riots issues ,his senior brothers shifted without any notice to my father.
We couldn't find them that time and now I am trying to find them through Findmypast as this was my father's dream.
Still in process,there some indication from customer service team, God knows I will reach to right place.Historic records search
I must admit, I'm pretty gutted with the historical records search on this platform. The photos on the website aren't exactly cheerful, they're actually quite sad to see. I thought I'd try uploading my family tree from another ancestry site, hoping to uncover some extra clues and local history records. But the hints I've been given so far are just basic birth and death records, along with a bit of census data. This means I'll have to do some manual digging for more detailed info, which can take quite a bit of time. When compared to another popular ancestry website, this platform is lacking in terms of user-friendliness.
Genealogy search
I was pretty let down when I delved into my family history and only found information about myself. I was particularly disappointed by the lack of details regarding my father's service in World War 2. Overall, it wasn't a great experience.

I really like using the database for my research. It gives me loads of valuable information that I wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. The only thing I wish is that I could pay monthly to access it, like other platforms, without any search limits or restricted records. Anyway, I still think the people who keep up the database do a great job!

I've been looking into my family tree for a while now, and I have to say that Findmypast has done a great job of keeping all my research safe and sound, even when I haven't been active for a while. I was under the impression that it was going to be free, but then they asked for payment after the first try. That's not cool.

I've found for me that FindMyPast has been a huge help in looking into my family history. It's given me loads of resources and tools to make real progress in my research. The free info on the site has been so helpful in tracing back my family tree, and I'm really grateful for it.
Ancestry hints inaccuracies
The clues from the platform were usually wrong and took ages to sort out and fix, especially when using the iPad. Also, there was a question about whether a DNA profile from Ancestry is compatible with Findmypast.
Active hints, sync issue
I appreciate the helpful hints when I'm working on my tree, but the lack of a sync feature with Rootsmagic9 software is a big issue for me. When I get good hints on FindMyPast, it messes up my tree updating process, and I struggle to keep track of what needs updating in Rootsmagic.
Paid subscription disappointment
I bought a paid subscription thinking I would get access to the whole site, but turns out I can only see the old news archives. If I had known about this restriction earlier, I might not have subscribed.

I feel a bit torn about this genealogy subscription service. The prices can be a bit confusing - some pages are clear, but others seem like they're trying to get you to upgrade. I'm new to it and I've found it useful for my research, but the constant push to upgrade can be irritating.

I reckon Find My Past is a great tool for looking into your family history, it's got a simple layout and covers a wide range of newspapers. But, I think it could be even better if they added more records to make it even more user-friendly.

I did run into a few problems when I was trying to view and add family members, but all in all, I've really enjoyed creating my family tree and uncovering relatives I didn't know about.
