    Good tool, questionable policy

I signed up almost two years ago as a solo seller on Fiverr and my first impression was pleasantly surprised — the editor felt simple and the exports looked professional. I used it every week for client videos and the templates saved me time, honestly that was a bonus. Recently a policy change caused one of my gigs to be removed. Support's answer was to move to an agency plan, even though I held a paid annual professional account and had already invested a lot. It felt like the rules were shifted on long-term customers. That upset me more than the takedown itself. The product works well. But this sort of push to upgrade without clearer notices is poor practice. I'll be cautious from now on.

A tricky mix of promise and frustration

would this actually help me make things faster without costing an arm and a leg, and would it take away the human touch I like to keep in my projects? I went in cautiously, partly because my colleague kept saying it saved him time, and partly because I wanted a proper trial to test whether those claims held up. The trial itself was… telling. It gave a quick look at the workflow and some nice templates that genuinely sped up the basic stuff. That was the surprise — I didn’t expect templates to be that useful; they actually cut my edit time down on a couple of boring internal videos. So, small win there, and the speed surprised me in a good way. But that positive note didn’t erase the bigger issues. The credit system still nags at me. Counting credits for every decent voice line or upgraded feature felt like rationing something that used to be standard. It made me second-guess creative choices — you find yourself saying “maybe skip that extra line” just because of the meter running down. That’s exactly the feeling I feared: creativity being budgeted. Another thing I noticed immediately was the reduction in voice options compared to what I’d expected from older reviews and tutorials. Some of the older TTS voices that people actually liked weren’t there, and for certain projects that matters — voice character is a big part of tone. So while the AI tools did a decent job and were, in places, pleasantly helpful, they also felt like a blunt instrument compared to a human performer; they weren’t quite swapping in for the nuance I wanted. I also flagged issues to support and the responses were slow, which didn’t help my confidence. On the other hand, delivery of the final files and the platform stability were solid — rendering was quick and exports came through without drama, which I appreciated more than I expected. If I had to sum it up: some of my doubts were squashed (the efficiency gains are real, and templates are handy), but the bigger worries about commoditising creativity and restrictive credit systems were only amplified. I kept thinking this could be a brilliant assistant if they tuned the business model and opened up more voice diversity, maybe reintroduced legacy options. Right now I’m using it, but cautiously — it’s useful, yes, but it’s not the open, human-first studio I hoped for. If they listen to users and loosen the shackles, this could be genuinely great. As it stands, mixed feelings — useful tech, annoying restrictions.

Bit of a bumpy ride, but glad I went for it

I first came across this platform during a dull Tuesday Teams call — a colleague shared a screen and I was genuinely curious. Later that day I pinged a friend and said, “You’ve got to try this,” so that’s how I ended up signing up. It wasn’t a huge, dramatic moment; just one of those small nudges that turns into something useful.
