    Money sent, patience missing

I sent a mobile top-up to my sister in Ethiopia and, honestly, it turned into a bit of a faff. I paid for 584 Birr, but she only received 221 Birr, which is a rather large chunk to vanish into thin air. I contacted customer service twice and sent every document they requested. They were polite and said it would be sorted soon, took my email and number… then silence. Delivery of the credit clearly wasn’t right, and the follow-up has been worse. I used to recommend Ding to friends, but I’d say double-check everything before using it.

    A top-up turned into a whole saga

I only wanted to add credit before heading out, which should have been a two-minute job, not a full-day side quest. I’d used the same card for plenty of top-ups before, so being stopped and asked for ID came out of nowhere. Fair enough, I sent it straight over, but then nothing moved while the promotion clock kept ticking. The moment I realised the offer had expired before the issue was cleared, I knew this wasn’t being handled fairly. Eventually I was told I could top up after all, which was more of a relief than a victory. I appreciate that it got resolved in the end, but losing the promotion after spending hours chasing support left a pretty sour taste. Honestly, the whole thing felt avoidable.

Not quite the quick fix I expected

I’d paid for credit that was needed at that moment, not later on when it suited the network. It may have been the operator causing the delay, fair enough, but Ding is the service I paid. It does work in principle, just not reliably enough for urgent everyday use. Next time I’ll probably top up directly.

    The maths went missing

$5 on the main hand, $10 bonus and a $20 call. I won with a flush, the dealer qualified, and the total return was only $10. Their own paytable appeared to list a flush at 20 to 1, so I expected someone to walk me through where the figures came from. That never happened. Support kept giving vague replies and seemed unfamiliar with the rules or even the odds being discussed. Maybe there is an explanation buried somewhere, but if there is, it certainly wasn’t offered to me. The whole thing left me less annoyed about losing money than baffled by the lack of basic help. Not a great first experience, honestly.
