apologised, sent a prepaid label to return it and then, weirdly, a brand-new replacement arrived before I'd even found a box to pack the old one in. Small hassle, but handled smoothly, so I'm impressed.
Nearly didn't buy it
I almost didn't buy this because I was sceptical — expensive-ish and I'd had rubbish kit before. Needed something sturdy for scrubbing the boat; bad back, so wanted an easy job. After a clumsy moment I snapped the drive gear within hours. I was bricking it. Customer service sorted it in under a day after a couple of emails and sent a new machine on warranty. Quality is solid. Properly relieved, honestly.
Good little ratchets, just watch the batteries
use 2Ah packs, smaller and last fine; avoid Fixxpack 2.0 — they don't fit. Drive is 3/8", so you may need a 1/4" adapter. Would be nicer if one was included.
Not perfect, but impressed
I nearly didn't buy it — saw it on a mate's Instagram and had doubts about suction — but I'm glad I did. Order went to my old address because autofill did its thing, but customer service fixed it quickly. The filter needs cleaning a lot, yes, so you do lose suction if neglected, but it's lighter and quieter than I expected, which was a nice surprise.
