That odd relief in the middle of a mess

one receptionist seemed to think there were no appointments at all. After a bit of faff and one member of staff eventually taking my mate in, I was told my booked Hydrafacial wasn’t actually a Hydrafacial but an “acne treatment”, which I hadn’t agreed to. I tried to explain I’d paid for suction and the whole protocol; they said suction couldn’t be done because of my active acne, and then offered to do a Hydrafacial without suction. That’s like ordering a latte and being told you’ll get hot milk — technically liquid, but not the point. The treatment I received was basically cleansing, steam and a face pack. Nothing like what I’d paid for. My friend, meanwhile, got the full experience with suction and all the steps properly done. So there I was: same package, different treatment, and no warning at consultation. It felt like a sales tick-box had been filled and then forgotten. I raised it, felt ignored, then agreed — in a bit of a daze — to swap two sessions for meso+dermapen. Later I did my own Googling and realised that might not even be great for active acne, so that swap didn’t reassure me either. After complaining properly I was offered two pumpkin facials as compensation. Spoiler: one of those pumpkin sessions actually surprised me. It wasn’t miraculous, but it calmed the redness a little and left my skin noticeably less tight. For a single session I actually felt — for the first time that afternoon — satisfied. Not because the place had suddenly been brilliant, but because someone did something that visibly helped. And that small relief made everything else feel more annoying rather than catastrophic. However, the follow-up was poor: charged AED 400 a session for that pumpkin facial when I’ve seen better prices and service elsewhere, and when I asked to use the remaining balance on products instead, radio silence. No realistic attempt to fix the mess, just an offer of another facial I didn’t want and a lack of response when I tried to change course. So overall, a mixture of sloppy admin, questionable advice on suitability, and a single pleasant, calm outcome from a pumpkin mask that made me go, “Ah — okay, that helped.” If you decide to go, ask a million questions beforehand, get everything in writing, and don’t assume a brand name equals consistent treatment. I won’t be rushing back, but I can’t deny that tiny moment of satisfaction when my skin actually looked better for a few hours.

    Mid-course rethink

clear paperwork, friendly reception and appointments that arrived on time. Results, though, were slow to show and I was getting impatient. What changed things was how they handled the follow-up. After I raised my concerns the manager didn’t shrug me off; he arranged a few extra sessions and we had a proper chat about expectations and the machines they use. The extra appointments weren’t perfect — a couple felt rushed — but the team did book them in promptly and they were considerate about my schedule, which helped. My first impression was that the technical side was average, yet the delivery of care and the way staff picked up the issue won me over. By the end I’d seen decent improvement and, honestly, I’m glad I stayed around rather than walking out. I’m not saying it was flawless or that I’d pay the same price again without asking more questions, but the customer service side — the callbacks, the rescheduling, the manager taking responsibility — made the difference. So overall, relieved more than thrilled, but grateful that they sorted it in the end.

    Not worth the stress

I wouldn’t recommend this place for anything like full‑body laser unless you’re prepared for inconsistency and a lot of running around. I booked an eight‑session package (cost me about ₹59,000) because I wanted to skip daily shaving and be stress‑free before my wedding — sounds sensible, right? In practice it’s been a mixed bag with one big, worrying problem: the staff reliability and how they handled things when something went wrong. Some sessions were fine, and I did notice the hair reduction working over time, so the treatment itself can do the job. Trouble is, that benefit gets overshadowed when you have an appointment cancelled at the last minute or a technician who’s clearly not focused. I had my first session back in August and left thinking “okay, might work” because some areas improved. But then there was a day when the person I trusted didn’t even show up and the replacements were rushed. I waited at the centre for over two hours while they scrambled, and when the session finally started the new technician shaved my legs in a way that left cuts and burning. I was in pain, my skin was red for hours, and her response was to say it was “normal” and blame my dry skin — which felt dismissive. I’ve had laser elsewhere before and this isn’t typical. On top of that, the technician I trusted apparently left without any notice, so I’ve lost continuity. I’ve sent emails and have photos of the skin reaction, yet the centre’s reply focused on their “no refund” rule and offered only credit or a transfer of the package. That felt like them protecting their policy rather than addressing the harm. So, if you want fewer errands and less shaving in daily life, the treatment can help — it did for me in places — but factor in the chance you’ll have to chase staff, explain injuries, and fight for any accountability. I’m sharing this honestly because the cost and the timing (wedding prep) made the whole episode more stressful than necessary. It’s not all disaster — the technology can work — but the service side needs proper sorting before I’d tell a friend to go there.
