dinner service dragged, my steak arrived underdone twice which annoyed me, and at checkout the gift card I’d bought ahead of time failed to scan. For a minute I was ready to grumble and chalk the day up as half spoiled. Then the shift manager stepped in, spoke to customer services on the phone and, after a bit of back-and-forth, sorted the payment and offered a small gesture for the mess-up. That was the moment I relaxed — after the massage and that apology I felt genuinely pleased, not bitter. Oh, and the showers were lovely too. Small things, but they matter. So, mixed afternoon but overall I'm glad I went and would go back, just maybe skip dinner next time.
