Rusty cover, decent monitor 5 March 2026

it’s meant to stop stray balls but the paint starts flaking off alarmingly quickly and the bare steel rusts. That was a surprise and a disappointment given the extra £149 price for the case. I tried sorting it via the seller and then the manufacturer chat; response was slow and felt like pushing water uphill. They told me the case had no warranty, despite UK rules about a minimum 12 months for goods sold here, which led to an awkward back-and-forth. After a lot of persistence the reseller sent a replacement, I returned the first one at my own cost, and within a fortnight the new case showed peeling paint and rust too. At that point I gave up on getting it replaced again and have arranged for a local spray shop to strip and powder-coat it properly. The website and marketing are impressive but the operational side — registration hoops, having to re-register for a free service every year — is clunky. If you’re thinking of buying: if you just want accurate launch data, it does the job; if you need a long-lasting case or straightforward aftercare, be prepared to push and possibly pay for a proper coating. Bit annoying, but manageable.
