a few times a week it just loses contact or misses shots, so some sessions are wasted. I rang customer support; they were friendly but ended up passing me between reps and there’s still no proper fix. So useful day-to-day, but the shaky software and slow support spoil it.
Mixed feelings, but not a total write‑off
I saw this at the club and a mate tipped me off, so I ordered one with a fair amount of doubt. At first it was really temperamental — drives sometimes wouldn’t register, then a wobble or a shadow and suddenly it would pick up perfectly. The putting felt off, too, and I nearly returned it. There’s also extra software you’ll likely want, which bumps the price more than I expected. Delivery itself was fine and arrived on time, which helped. Customer service was slow to respond initially and I had to chase, but after a couple of proper calls they did resolve the main issues and I’m actually using it without constant reboots now. Still a bit wary, but overall it’s doing the job better than I thought it would.
Great kit, shaky support
I really like the unit — the hardware and ball flight feel make practising indoors worthwhile — but the company’s aftercare has been a real disappointment. I bought it because I needed somewhere to keep working on my swing while rehabbing a dodgy back and to avoid long drives to the range. For the first few months it was brilliant; I was getting more focused practice than I have in ages. Then, a bit over four months after the warranty ended, the connection started failing and now it refuses to pair properly. I’m still paying for a membership to use software I can’t access, and support basically told me they couldn’t help — which felt blunt and left me on my own. I get warranties run out, but at this price I expected someone to at least try to find the issue. So: great device, useful and fun, but poor post-warranty support has soured things a bit.
Good gadget, poor follow-up
the hardware is fine but the whole software/support situation will grind you down. The unit does its job and my husband actually enjoys the golf game, but honestly, setting it up and keeping it running is a right faff. From the initial install to random glitches months later, I’ve spent ages reinstalling the programme, swapping laptops and endlessly searching forums. Most fixes are temporary — you patch one thing and another error pops up later. Customer support isn’t quick and the online help is pretty thin, so you’re often left cobbling together solutions yourself. Also there’s that yearly fee (around $200) just to keep using what you already bought — that stings. I’m not saying it’s useless; when it works it’s great fun, but it’s not reliable unless you enjoy troubleshooting. My tip: dedicate a single, untouched laptop to it and don’t expect seamless updates. I’d warn friends to weigh the frustration against the experience — promising kit, poor follow-through, could do with much better support and fewer recurring costs.
Mis-billed then useful, oddly enough
an online rep told me, plainly, I wouldn’t be charged again and I’d be moved to the right plan within two days. A couple of hours later an email landed asking for another £179. That sudden about-turn is what annoyed me most; felt like I’d been fobbed off, and I kept repeating the chat line to myself (I did keep screenshots, yes). Setup isn’t a walk in the park either — Wi‑Fi was fiddly, then network mode needed a reboot and a second go, took more patience than I expected. Accuracy of the unit? Not perfect, but better than I feared; after a few hours it gave consistent numbers and I could actually practice strokes that helped my back feel less tense. Service remained the weak link, I’ll not pretend otherwise, but the actual device, once it was talking to my network, did what I needed it to do. So I started off sceptical, outright annoyed, and ended up grudgingly satisfied — not thrilled, but it solved the main problem: I can practise without aggravating my back and I’m getting steadier. I’ll still post a review of the billing side, but the product itself kept its half of the bargain.
Rusty cover, decent monitor
it’s meant to stop stray balls but the paint starts flaking off alarmingly quickly and the bare steel rusts. That was a surprise and a disappointment given the extra £149 price for the case. I tried sorting it via the seller and then the manufacturer chat; response was slow and felt like pushing water uphill. They told me the case had no warranty, despite UK rules about a minimum 12 months for goods sold here, which led to an awkward back-and-forth. After a lot of persistence the reseller sent a replacement, I returned the first one at my own cost, and within a fortnight the new case showed peeling paint and rust too. At that point I gave up on getting it replaced again and have arranged for a local spray shop to strip and powder-coat it properly. The website and marketing are impressive but the operational side — registration hoops, having to re-register for a free service every year — is clunky. If you’re thinking of buying: if you just want accurate launch data, it does the job; if you need a long-lasting case or straightforward aftercare, be prepared to push and possibly pay for a proper coating. Bit annoying, but manageable.
