    Rusty patience

    the product did okay at first but the aftercare ruined it. I bought the 2 metre golf cage and used it for about eight months, mostly at weekends in the garden and I took it down if bad weather was due. First impressions were fine — felt solid, did what it should and practice was easy. Then around month eight I noticed quite bad rusting on the frame. That surprised me because I hadn’t left it out in storms. I contacted the company in January 2025 and sent several emails — eight in total — and heard nothing back. I finally rang last Friday and spoke to someone who said they’d ring me later that day; they didn’t. When I did get a reply it was odd: they admitted the cage was defective but then started quoting repair costs and accused me of leaving it up in a storm, which I hadn’t. I pointed out I reported it within 12 months and that the rust was not sudden neglect. They then asked for an expert report to prove it’s a manufacturing fault. So yes, the cage works for a while, not brilliant long term, and the customer service is the real problem. I’m disappointed. I’ll get legal advice if needed, but I wouldn’t rely on their support.

That was the plan. No confirmation for about ten hours, then an email saying it had been dispatched the next day — despite my cancellation request. After that it was a string of brusque emails from their side saying they don’t cancel orders and you shouldn’t expect specific delivery dates, which was a bit rich given their website loudly promises next‑day delivery. Their tone was blunt, borders on rude — not what you want when you’re trying to sort out a last‑minute gift. All the phone lines were apparently down and they blamed Covid, which felt like a weak excuse since other companies I’ve dealt with have managed to keep phones running. The table did eventually arrive, three days late. My son was buzzing so we accepted it, but it’s still in the box because it has noticeable damage in several places — dents and scuffs that look like they happened before packing. I’ve had better experiences with online retailers who sort returns quickly; this lot have gone quiet and aren’t answering emails, so I’ve had to start talking to my card company and finalise a complaint with trading standards. I’m relieved my son still had a good time, so in that sense it worked out, but overall it’s been more stress than it was worth. If you care about communication, delivery promises and a company that actually picks up the phone, look elsewhere.

    Stick with your consumer rights — and be ready to push

    don’t expect an easy refund from this retailer, but if you’re stubborn and know your rights you can get somewhere. I received a faulty spin bike and it turned into a proper faff, yet after pushing back and involving my bank I got my money back in the end — not because they were helpful, but because the process left me no choice. I unpacked and built the bike the day it arrived, tried it that evening and noticed a grinding noise and a wobble on the pedal arm straight away. First impressions were poor — looked fine in the box but felt wrong once you actually used it. I emailed them, but replies were slow and usually a copy-paste that didn’t answer my questions. They insisted it wasn’t faulty and kept directing me to a 14-day cancellation route rather than treating it as a faulty item. That meant dismantling the bike myself and paying £45 for courier return, with a warning they’d deduct for "usage" because it couldn’t be resold. I kept saying that if it’s faulty they should pay the return postage and send it back to the manufacturer, but they asked for more and more — videos of it in use, lots of photos — fully aware the packaging would be opened and it would show signs of use. Felt like they were covering themselves to avoid a full refund. I kept calm, supplied the evidence they requested, cited the Consumer Rights Act (onus is on the retailer) and, when they still refused, I raised a chargeback with my bank. That’s what finally moved things. So: warning — slow, defensive customer service and awkward returns. But practical tip: document everything, insist on your rights, and if they stonewall, involve your bank. Not a pleasant experience, but at least it didn’t become a permanent loss for me.

    Wrong table, poor follow-up

    I ordered the table because I wanted something low-key to practise on — friends keep inviting me round to play and my physio suggested pool as gentle movement for my back. Delivery day was odd from the start. They turned up with the wrong table. Not the right model, and crucially not the UK-style pockets I expected. I’d booked assembly, so you can imagine the hassle when they said “oops”. It took ages to get anyone to admit the mistake. Then I found out it wasn’t even a UK table but an American one. Big difference in play. That mattered to me because I wanted to learn on the same type of table my mates have.

    Treadmill purchase

    I was really disappointed with the service I got when I bought a treadmill recently. I tried to get in touch by email, but got no reply no matter how many times I tried. When the treadmill turned up, I couldn't even try it out because the plug was broken. It took ages of emailing back and forth, about 2 to 3 weeks, before they finally came to pick up the treadmill. And now, nearly another 3 weeks have gone by and I still haven't got my money back. It's just not on, especially with everything going on at the moment, and the fact that I paid in good faith for the treadmill.

    I recently got myself a treadmill from this website. I was a bit worried at first because I saw a few bad reviews mentioning missing parts and late deliveries. But, I have to admit, my experience was way better than expected. I gave their customer service a ring and was pleasantly surprised to be put through to someone in just 2 minutes. They were really polite and told me they got my payment and that the treadmill would be delivered on time. When it finally arrived, all the parts were there in good condition. The Lontek x510 treadmill I got was even better quality than I thought, and I'm really happy with my purchase. Gotta give a shoutout to the top-notch customer service I got too.

    Faulty treadmill purchase

    I bought a treadmill which ended up breaking after just 3 weeks. I even tried to fix it myself using the diagrams they sent me, but no luck. So, I decided to write a letter to the directors to ask for either a refund or a replacement treadmill. Honestly, the customer service has been awful - it's like it doesn't even exist! I'm getting to the point where I might have to take this to small claims court!

    The trampoline I bought was okay, but it took absolutely ages to get delivered and was a nightmare to set up. The parts didn't fit properly and I had to really work at it to get them in place.     Exercise bike purchase

    Oh goodness, I was really anxious about getting my exercise bike from this place because I heard some negative comments, but honestly, it all went so smoothly! I ended up purchasing a fantastic Bluetooth bike with a 16kg flywheel, and it's top-notch quality. And to top it off, they delivered it to me free of charge the very next day! I was shocked at how affordable it was compared to other lower-grade bikes on different sites. Moreover, the delivery chap was incredibly friendly and even offered to help me carry it upstairs as it was quite heavy. Overall, fantastic service all around - I will definitely be coming back to shop here!

    Exercise bike purchase

    I am absolutely fed up with the poor customer service I've been getting. I've sent loads of emails and not heard anything back. The exercise bike they sent me is a real disappointment - I'm just under the maximum height but my knees keep knocking the handlebar, the pedals feel like I'm cycling on air and only occasionally catching, and the whole thing looks like it's been used before with marks everywhere. I want my money back and some explanations as soon as possible!

    Faulty slate bed pool table

    The pool table I bought turned out to be a real disaster. Honestly, the quality was terrible - the cloth felt more like a chunky woolly carpet, making it impossible to play on. And when I sent them videos and photos pointing out the problems, the customer service was just awful. They wouldn't admit there were any issues and even wanted to charge me for sending it back, saying I wouldn't get a full refund because it had been used. Can you believe it? Absolutely ridiculous!

    I recently bought a treadmill from your company, and I must say it's been quite disappointing. When it arrived, the packaging was all battered and some important parts were broken. To top it off, the instructions were in a language I didn't understand, which made putting it together a nightmare. Then, when I tried to use it, I had trouble downloading the app and changing the program. And don't even get me started on trying to lubricate the belt without any English instructions! Sadly, the state the treadmill arrived in means I can't even send it back. I would suggest to others to steer clear of buying from you, as the product quality and customer support were both seriously lacking.
