I opened the bag on a cold, damp morning in early April and blinked — it smelled like winter. The packet said winter feed, even though the spring batch was supposed to be on its way that week. Delivery was quick, but someone clearly mixed up the boxes. I rang customer service; they were polite and said it’s fine to use, but I’m not thrilled about putting winter stuff on fresh spring turf. Then there’s the amount. My lawn’s under 100 sqm and, despite following the instructions, I ran out. Maybe I applied it too slowly, maybe not. I’ll see how the next treatment goes before being judgmental. Slightly miffed but keeping an open mind.
