not worth the money. I bought the superking feather and down duvet thinking "nice and cosy" — instead I got a nightly confetti of feathers. It sounds daft, but there were tiny bits of feather poking through the cover and into my skin; I’d wake up feeling like I’d slept in a bird’s nest. I’ve used feather duvets for years (family tradition, stubbornness) and never seen anything like it. The annoying bit was having to vacuum the bedroom every time I stripped the cover, because the feathers had escaped everywhere — curtains, carpet, slippers, you name it. I even tried fluffing and turning it, like they suggested in their reply, but that just made me look silly at two in the morning. Their customer service answer was a textbook of excuses: thin lining, stems, normal escape. Fine, but the product blurb boasted a 100% microfibre feather-proof cover — that’s misleading, surely. I did appreciate one unexpected thing though: the duvet was properly warm and comfy while it lasted, which gave me hope and then, well, disappointment. I contacted them and felt brushed off; polite but unhelpful. Contrast that with another supplier I tried afterwards — different brand, same filling type — and no feather explosions, so it isn’t inevitability, it seems. If you’re the sort who tolerates a few stray quills and doesn't mind extra hoovering, maybe it’ll pass. For me, it ruined the point of a low-maintenance duvet. In the end I swapped it out for another make that actually kept the feathers in, and that felt like a small victory. Wouldn’t buy this one again. Lesson learned, and my vacuum cleaner is still judging me.
Unexpectedly cosy find
comfort won me over. I’d buy them again if I needed something plain and soft to crash in after a long day of moving. Not perfect, but for what I wanted they did the job and then some.
Relief only when the bank helped
read reviews and use a card with buyer protection. It would have saved me a lot of time and worry.
