a surprise parcel arrived in January even though I hadn't set up a subscription (or so I thought). I tried emailing twice and was told I'd get a reply in 48 hours, never heard back, so in the end I cancelled the PayPal auto‑pay to stop more unexpected boxes. Bit annoying, and it made me sceptical at first, but after the initial faff I'm quite happy with the softgels themselves. Just wish the account/subscription info and customer service were clearer.
A messy start with the powder
I cracked open the sachet on a slapdash Sunday morning while I was making porridge — first time using this particular unflavoured collagen. My previous experience with their classic supplements was okay (a bit pricey, but I kept telling myself that might help some ocean cause), so I wasn't expecting drama. The pouch had a damp ring inside as if a bit of water had got in. I complained and they sent a mango tub free, which I appreciated — decent customer service, really. They insisted the original was safe so I tried it anyway and, well, it tasted shockingly off, like something had gone mouldy; not dangerous-feeling, just really unpleasant, so after a few spoons I threw it away. The mango one was better on flavour, but maddeningly the top went slimy and after a few days the whole thing turned into damp clumps — proper wet balls that don't mix well into porridge and leave a weird texture and aftertaste. I'm glad they replaced it and responded quickly, that's why I say something positive, but I'm annoyed they chose powder in this packaging when a tablet or better sealing might have avoided all that. Also their marketing implies they're the pioneers of vegan collagen, which seems misleading given other products (VeCollal, etc.) have been around. Oh, and trying to upload photos to Trustpilot failed, and their own site doesn't allow reviews — odd.
