the warehouse being closed for Chinese New Year apparently held things up, and yes, my niece’s birthday came and went. But the moment things swung back was when a neat little box finally arrived with that card inside — the message was actually really sweet and the duck itself is quite pretty, exactly the kind of tiny keepsake I hoped for. It’s not perfect — packing could’ve been better, and the wait was annoying — but seeing the card and holding the duck made me feel glad I hadn’t returned it straight away. In the end it’ll still be a nice gift for someone, and I’m pleased I stuck with it.
