double-check app links and keep screenshots, it helps. Overall, I'm relaxed about using them again; sensible handling of a genuine mistake matters more to me than flawless tech in the first place. So yeah, usable service, at least in my experience.
Mostly worth it
no plastic, recyclable, and they’re open about giving back a bit to growers and being a B Corp. Customer support is genuinely helpful and quick when I’ve had a query. Now the grumbles. Sometimes the same profile crops up a bit too often. A box arrived a day late once, and the price isn’t the cheapest if you’re on a tight budget. Still, for the variety and convenience I keep going back. Little rough edges, but overall I enjoy the ritual of the monthly box.
Half pleased, then properly sorted
the colour palette and flat illustrations didn’t exactly shout festive joy, and opening day one felt like opening a bland present. The coffees themselves, though, were solid and the little tasting notes on the site were properly well written, which kept me curious enough to carry on. There were a couple of annoying site hiccups at checkout and once I opened Christmas Eve’s pouch and found decaf — that was a surprise I didn’t need early morning. The real low point was the big central square on the 25th being just a QR code for a gift that had already expired. That was disappointing, admittedly. But then Ben got in touch, answered everything clearly and genuinely, and offered a decent resolution — no corporate script, just human. That moment, reading a thoughtful reply and seeing them actually do something, is when I felt relieved and glad I hadn’t written it off. So overall: still a few bumps and I’d tweak the design and that QR expiry, but I’m grateful they listened and sorted it. The coffees made our mornings nicer when it mattered.
Waiting was annoying, but the coffee redeemed it
the packaging was neat, beans smell fresh and the coffee brewed up nicely — decent crema and a clean finish, not overly complicated but satisfying for daily drinking. So my original worries about quality evaporated once I tasted it, though the delivery worries did not entirely. Customer service really carried the day; polite, communicative and they kept me informed without nonsense. Price seems fair for what you get, especially if you like a rotisserie-style roast from independent roasters. If you're in the UK it’s an easy yes, in Ireland or elsewhere expect delays and be prepared to chase, but don’t assume it’s a lost cause — they’ll try to make it right. Emotionally I went from annoyed to pleasantly surprised, which is a nice turnaround. Overall I’d recommend, just not if you need it quickly.
