Right in the middle of sticking the little gold numbers on, I had one of those tiny panic moments — had I bought the right thing, would it look cheap, would it even arrive? I first saw a photo in our local baking group and a mate tipped me off to the website, so I was curious but wary. Amazon had similar bits but at twice the cost, so I took a punt on the cheaper site and kept thinking, yeah, we’ll see. The order went through without drama, they actually rushed it when I messaged to ask, and it turned up in time. The topper was a touch bent in the box, nothing major, I bent it back and it looked fine on the cake. My daughter was properly chuffed and so was I — turned out better than I expected. So the sceptic in me softened, not perfect but good value and it did the job.
Small dent, decent service
a replacement, no return required. It turned up a few days later. That no-fuss approach matters. I’ve already told a friend about them and will probably buy from BakeDeco again, though I’ll keep an eye on the packing next time.
Mixed bag, but it works
sceptical at first, then relieved — it now works great but I wouldn’t recommend buying from this seller unless you’re ready to insist on your rights or do repairs yourself.
Morning dough and a dead mixer
refund was easiest for them, replacement of the exact model I wanted was “not an option”, and emails asking them to check it before I sent it back went unanswered. A repair bloke later twigged it was a faulty switch; I ordered and swapped it, another chunk of cash out, and then warranty got tossed out because the unit had been opened. I bake most mornings — sourdough, buns for school, quick cakes — and when it works it's brilliant, but being shuffled between retailer and maker left a sour taste. Could've been handled much better, with clearer answers.
