there’s a noticeable sag across the middle after a couple of weeks. I sleep alone, I’m fairly light, so it’s not like I’m doing anything weird with it. Waking up with tight shoulders and an ache in my hips and lower back has become a daily thing, so it’s clearly a support problem rather than comfort. On the plus side the cover feels nicer than I thought it would (surprising), and the packaging had clear care notes. I’ve been in touch with customer service — they were polite and said the 40-day exchange applies, but replies are a bit slow and I’m pushing for a quick collection. Using it for night sleep and the occasional nap at home; doesn’t work for either right now, so I’m arranging the return.
Centre dip — relieved about the return window
Woke up on the third morning feeling like I'd slept on a plank. I bought this mattress just over two weeks ago from Bensons for Beds and at first it seemed fine — a bit snug, actually. Then the middle started to dip. I'm a lightweight and sleep on my own, so that surprised me. The dip is obvious and it's not just about comfort; I wake up with stiff shoulders, sore hips and a dull back ache. It feels lumpy in places too, edges aren't defined. I did give it time to settle, like they suggested, but it hasn't helped; if anything it's crept worse. On the plus side I'm relieved it's within the 40-day comfort exchange window, so I'm not stuck with it, and delivery was tidy. I'll be returning it and expect the exchange to be straightforward. Bit disappointed overall, but thankful the return policy exists and that I can sort it without a fight.
Odd delivery saga but it ended alright
a refund or sending a correctly specified replacement and arranging collection of the wrong item. I chose the replacement. It arrived a few days later and, unlike the first two, the top zipped off as advertised. Small relief. The mattress feels fine now; the hybrid is a touch softer than the all-foam I briefly had and that mattered to my back. I’m not overjoyed. I’m still sceptical about the process. But the end result works for me and they handled the swap without too much fuss once management stepped in. A decent outcome, after a shaky start.
