In short, they won't collect a wrongly sized mattress, so don't expect a straightforward return. I ordered a 3 ft mattress for our bed and a 2 ft 6 arrived — we only noticed when it was being put on the bed at delivery. The drivers even laid it out and took photos with my husband to show it was the wrong size, but they said they couldn't take it back. The company now refuse an exchange and tell us we must return it ourselves to get a refund. I started using their service on delivery day; first impression was that the packaging and timing were fine, but the size was wrong and the follow-up was messy. We have a disabled household member, so asking us to organise and pay a return of about £252 for a £249 mattress felt absurd. We're upset and surprised by how rigid and unhelpful the whole process was.

Half-sorted mattress saga
no dispatch email, just a Yodel notification the morning it arrived and, even worse, they’d been given the wrong address. Not as cool or as firm as you'd hope
I have to be honest — when I first saw this mattress I was intrigued. A mate had mentioned it and then I read a few bits on the retailer's site and a consumer magazine had given it a decent mention, so I thought, why not. I was chasing something that would stop me waking up in a sweat and it sounded like the answer. In practice it's been a bit of a disappointment. The surface does feel soft, pleasant to the touch at first, but the “cool” promise? It never really took effect for me. If you’re someone who gets warm at night, you’ll notice it holds onto heat more than they lead you to believe. I checked the tags after it arrived (I know, rookie mistake to not do it straight away) and saw the padding and cover were polyester-based. That explained a lot — polyester is fine in clothing sometimes but for sleeping when you overheat it’s not great. You end up feeling warmer than you expected, and that’s annoying when you bought it specifically for that reason. Comfort-wise, it’s softer than a marketed “medium firm” mattress should be. You sink into it — not a subtle hug, but a proper sink — so if you’re on the heavier side you won’t get the support you need. I’m over 100kg and my hips felt like they dropped in, which then made my shoulders ache. The first couple of nights I tried to convince myself it would settle, that it’d feel different after a week, but it didn’t really change. I did try customer service when I realised the cooling claim didn’t match the materials and that it wasn’t firm — getting help was more or less impossible. They were slow to reply and didn’t offer a solution that worked for me. Also the returns policy felt pointless; once you remove tags or sleep on it, chances of returning it are slim, which left me stuck. On the plus side, delivery was alright — arrived when they said it would and the guys set it up quickly. But overall, if you need a mattress for overheating and for decent support, I’d think twice. I’m now saving for something with natural fibres and firmer backing. Bit of a regret, really, and a frustrating waste of money.

I wasn't sure about getting this mattress because it was so cheap, but it's actually really comfortable and just what I was looking for.
