Half-asleep I dragged the box in and thought that's sooner than I expected — delivery actually came a day early, neat driver, no drama. Packaging was tidy, the item matched the photos and colour, and when I rang about fitting options the customer service team were calm and helpful (unlike another firm I dealt with last year). Still a bit wary buying unseen, but I’m relieved — decent service and prompt delivery, simple as that.
Pleasantly sorted in the end
Overall, I'm really pleased with how it turned out. The bed had a problem at first, so I was ready to be annoyed, but Adam sorted it. He emailed straight away with two different fixes, clear and no fuss. One of the fixes actually surprised me — he followed up a week later to check it was still OK. I've had less helpful replies from other companies, so this felt refreshing. The bed now is comfy and as expected. Would I recommend them? Yes. They didn't pretend nothing went wrong; they fixed it, and that matters. Fair price too, which helps.
Pleasantly surprised by the build
I’m glad I went for it — I half expected a hassle but it was actually a solid purchase. I first spotted the Florence on Everest’s website after a mate tipped me off, so I started out a bit sceptical. Ordering was straightforward; they rang a few days beforehand to confirm and the driver phoned on the morning to give an ETA. Two men turned up, checked where I wanted the bed (I’d paid for bedroom delivery) and even took their shoes off at the door without being asked, which was nice. The base ships in two pieces so it’s easier to manoeuvre and I paid an extra £100 for the floor‑standing headboard — bit of a sting but it looks sturdy. I chose the end‑lift storage version in a wine maroon and the 10" Ultra Hybrid 1000 memory mattress is medium‑firm and comfortable; slept well straight away. The fitters were polite and quick despite a busy schedule. Only small gripe is the extra headboard cost, otherwise I’d recommend them.
