Honestly, I'd steer clear if you want something that lasts. It felt fine at first — comfy for the first few months — but with normal nightly use it started to sag badly down the middle within two years. We kept drifting together in bed and the surface went lumpy, so proper sleep disappeared. I sent a warranty claim with photos and waited weeks for an answer. They said the dents weren’t deep enough and basically told me to buy a mattress topper to fix their product. That was annoying. It gave me recurring back ache that needed treatment. We used it every night, for naps and the odd laptop session, so it mattered. Not perfect, but support was the real problem.
Lesson learned — don’t use these for a busy hotel
I wouldn’t buy Lucid mattresses for any commercial place again — and that’s after learning the hard way. Sounds harsh but honestly it’s been a pretty clear-cut outcome for us, and I’m still a bit surprised at how it played out. We bought ninety of them for our small hotel because they looked like decent value and the sales process seemed straightforward. At first they were fine, guests slept okay, turnover was normal. But within a couple of years a worrying number of beds started to show proper wear — not just a bit of sag, but actual premature breakdown that meant we had to replace mattresses much sooner than planned. That’s a headache when you run a place where rooms need to be ready every day.
