I’d still buy it — mainly for the price and the cover — but be warned about the claims side. I needed this because I hurt my back on holiday and had to change my way home, so getting the cover sorted quickly was important to me. Buying was dead simple. Price was fair and the policy ticked all the boxes I wanted. When I made a claim things slowed to a crawl though. It took nearly three months to get anywhere. I sent receipts and the doctor’s notes, but the settlement didn’t include the travel change that mattered. The only place to ask questions was a chat box that sat on 99 in the queue all day. Then they marked the case closed and my follow-up emails went unanswered. So, happy with price and cover, less happy with aftercare. Mixed feelings, but overall okay if you don’t expect flawless claims handling.
