I went in expecting a straightforward one-month trial, mainly to see whether the meals suited me and justified the cost. I was hesitant before ordering because it is not cheap, but I thought a well-known weight-loss plan would be clear about what I was signing up for. Unfortunately, that is not how it felt once I tried to cancel. The food itself was also a let-down. Some meals were convenient enough, and I can see why they might work for people with very busy schedules, but the ingredients did not match the healthy, wholesome impression I had been given. There seemed to be a lot of processed components, preservatives and palm oil in several products. That was disappointing, especially for something positioned as a lifestyle and weight-management service. I expected food that felt fresher and more considered, not meals that often felt quite industrial. My bigger concern, though, was the plan arrangement. The wording made me believe I could try the service and decide after the first month whether to continue. Only when I wanted to stop did it become clear that selecting a longer plan involved a minimum term and charges for leaving early. I understand companies need terms and conditions, of course, but this should have been much more obvious before payment. A “trial” should not leave a new customer surprised by extra costs. I contacted customer service hoping they might take into account that I was still in my first month and had not wanted further deliveries. Their replies were polite enough, but very fixed. There was no real attempt to explain the setup in a helpful way or find a fair solution. In the end, I felt more frustrated than supported. I am glad I checked the ingredients and cancellation details rather than simply carrying on. My advice would be to read every part of the contract before ordering, particularly if you only want to test it for a month.
