a few rough edges and some dodgy paint lines, yes, but nothing that killed the vibe. The strings sounded fine after a quick tune-up and the extra set of strings and rosin in the case were a neat touch. What really stood out was the aftercare — I emailed customer service about a slightly sticky fine tuner and they were responsive, friendly and sent a replacement part within a few days, plus a couple of setup tips. That sort of support made a big difference; it’s rare you get helpful, human replies so fast. The bow hair wasn’t brilliant, but swapping it later is easy and didn’t spoil my first few sessions. I did notice a bit of rough sanding in places and some small marks on the varnish, but honestly it felt like minor character rather than a disaster. For a beginner or someone wanting a decent practice instrument without spending a fortune, this felt like good value — and the surprise was how playable it became after a quick setup and the firm, helpful customer service. Would recommend if you want something that arrives quickly, comes with extras and has a team that actually sorts things out without fuss.
Worth the faff in the end
I spotted this keyboard on a mate’s desk and asked where it was from. Bit of a casual tip, really — he swore by the feel, so I ordered one and a matching stand, paying with PayPal because I’m lazy like that and I didn’t want to type out card details. At first I was proper sceptical. The parcel went walkabout, Evri muddled the address (they left the street name off) and for a while it felt like a lost cause. I spent ages on the phone and messaging. I was fed up, to be honest. Then things turned. After a few awkward messages and a lot of waiting, the seller agreed to sort it out and sent a replacement rather than argue. That’s what swung me round. Now the keyboard’s here and I’m actually glad I held my nerve. It feels solid — the keys have a nice, slightly springy action and aren’t too loud, which is good for late-night typing when the kids are in bed. The stand is sturdy and adjusts easily; no wobbles on my desk, and the angle makes a difference for long sessions. Setup was painless once it arrived. I like the weight of it too, not cheap-feeling. It’s not perfect — the case has a small scuff — but it works exactly as I wanted. Would I buy here again? Probably, yes, though I’d be upfront about possible delivery issues and maybe choose a different courier if I can. Overall I was sceptical, annoyed and a bit stressed at first but ended up properly pleased with the feel and use. Worth the little drama, I’d say.
