I first spotted the Trimui Smart Pro S in a retro handheld forum, after someone there mentioned Mechdiy. Mine arrived earlier than the estimate and the box was properly packed, no corners crushed or anything. The new firmware caused a couple of awkward issues at first, which was a bit annoying. I knew I’d made the right choice when support replied clearly and walked me through it without rushing. Once it was working, that was that. Price seemed fair too.
Sealed card, but nothing ready to use
I sat down to try the Smart Pro S the evening it arrived, expecting a fairly simple setup. The card was sealed, so I honestly thought everything would already be on it. Instead, after switching the console on, there were no emulators, games or CrossMix at all. That was a bit of a surprise, and not a good one. It feels like I now need to download and configure everything myself, but I don’t even own a card reader. Delivery was fine, but the product really wasn’t the plug-and-play experience I’d been expecting.
