Decent place, though slightly pricey. I’d tried their beans at my sister-in-law's before, but first time in the shop, and tidy. Busy, people working and chatting — a bit of a hipster air, yes. Ordered an iced latte, about £7-ish, same as you'd expect at other premium spots; fair enough.
Half-brewed expectations
I wasn't sure about the Spring menu, especially the strawberry matcha cloud — thought it might be a gimmick. Took it on my commute as a mid-morning treat at my desk. Foam was decent but the matcha was barely there, mostly sweet strawberry. Boyfriend liked his cold brew. Doubts only partly gone.
Sceptic turned fan
I was unsure — had a rubbish takeaway matcha before and after moving house I needed a caffeine fix, so worried plant milks might mess it. I got a matcha with almond milk, husband a cappuccino with oat milk. They were spot on, custom options fixed my doubts, really liked it.
Morning pick
Really excellent, used first thing; smooth, slightly bitter.
