Nearly didn't buy
Nearly didn't order — worried about fit. Used them for gym this morning. Quick delivery, actually happy now, comfy.
Quick help, small hiccup
I spotted Anne's Cottage on Instagram and told a friend; ended up ordering a bag but messed up the size. Grace at customer service was brilliant, quick replies and sorted it calmly. Packaging wasn't fancy and delivery was a day late, but overall I'll use them again.
Instagram find, mostly great
I spotted Ann's Cottage on Instagram and, on a whim, ordered — first time. There were a couple of hiccups with the order but customer service, especially Daisy, sorted it very quickly and politely. It's not flawless, delivery was a bit slow, but overall I'd recommend and already told my mate about it.
Shady tag, decent delivery
Spotted this on a mate's Instagram and she tipped me, so I ordered a pricey jacket for my daughter. Delivery was okay but the jacket arrived with a crossed-through price tag and a handwritten sale price — felt proper conned. Customer service were slow to reply, not great, though the parcel arrived intact.
Dodgy start, decent finish
take photos straight away and keep your receipts. Overall annoying start, ended up pleasantly sorted.
Hovered then helped
I've ordered from Ann's Cottage online for years and only popped into the Bude shop on a lazy Saturday afternoon. First thought was 'this isn't right' — staff shadowing us, little smiles and too much hovering, which put me off straight away. I almost left, sceptical that the whole place had poor customer care. Then a different assistant stopped by, listened properly and actually sorted sizing queries without being pushy. Left hanging after a refund email
Halfway through the morning I noticed an email saying my payment had been refunded — no reason, no call, nothing. I’ve bought from Ann’s Cottage in-store for years, always decent service, so I was a bit surprised. I needed the anklet because we’ve just moved and small things like this help settle the place, plus it was a gift I’d been looking forward to. Their automated reply just said refunds happen if an order can’t be fulfilled, which is fine, except the item is still listed online with a “same day despatch” timer. So now I’ve no idea why and may wait up to ten days for the money back. Service used to be clearer; here it felt a bit impersonal.
Small car park, big help
I first heard about Ann’s from a mate who’d been surfing there. My daughter popped in to buy a wetsuit. The car park was rammed so she spent a few minutes circling and then paid for three hours. A couple of weeks later a parking notice arrived. I braced for a fight. To my surprise the shop’s manager rang straight away after we went in. They were friendly, listened, and chased the parking firm for an explanation. The parking company were firm but the way Ann’s handled it made a difference. Delivery of the paperwork was prompt and clear. Customer service felt genuinely helpful, not just words. Still a bit annoying, but the people on the ground really tried to sort it. I’d tell mates to try the shop, but mind the parking.
Careful what you buy for kids
By the third week I was wondering if I'd wasted money. I bought a Billabong wetsuit for our daughter at the start of summer and she used it once a week at surf lifesaving. At first it looked fine, smart even, so I wasn't worried. But small black patches started peeling off, the inner lining came away from the neoprene and one ankle seam split. I was careful with it — rinsed it after every session like we always do — so I was sceptical this could happen so fast. Contacting Ann's Cottage was frustrating at first; they suggested misuse. That felt wrong, so I pushed a bit, sent photos and explained our rinsing routine. Eventually they offered a replacement/refund and handled the follow-up more professionally. I’m still annoyed the suit failed, but relieved the shop sorted it in the end. Would I rush back? Not really, but I’d consider them again if they keep this level of response up.
Mixed start, happy ending
the right price was confirmed, they put one aside for me and the wetsuit turned up a few days later. That moment — trying it on and it fitting perfectly, feeling snug — was when I knew I was satisfied. Not flawless, but I've had worse elsewhere, so I'm quite chuffed overall.
Wetsuit delivery
I bought this wetsuit and it arrived really quickly! I was surprised how fast it came - I hadn't even finished my snack yet. It fit me perfectly and felt like really good quality, so I was really pleased with it. Thanks a lot!
International delivery gift
I just wanted to say a big thanks to the team for getting my gift to my mother-in-law in Australia so quickly. The parcel turned up in great condition, and she really enjoyed the present. The customer service from the team was top-notch, and I'm grateful for all the hard work they put in to make sure everything went smoothly. cool straps
I got these 8-foot straps for my bike carrier and they were brilliant for transporting my paddleboard. They were really sturdy and strong, just what I needed to keep my board secure. I even used them to tie down my board on the roof of my car when I went to Wales. They worked like a charm and I didn't have to stress about my board coming loose. Just a tip - if you're carrying multiple boards, you might want to grab some longer straps!
Slippers purchase
I recently bought some slippers that were perfect for me. They were comfy and strong, just like the website said. I was a little let down that I didn't get a heads up when they were available to pick up from the store. Luckily, I shot off an email to customer service and they sorted it out straight away.
Trainers that are comfy and worth the money
The folks over there were really friendly to me, and the trainers are super comfy and definitely worth the money. I absolutely love shopping in that place!
Wetsuit fitting advice
I was searching for a wetsuit for my brother, and the people on the phone were really helpful in helping me choose the right size! When it arrived, it came quickly and the wetsuit was really cool! I had to return a couple that didn't fit, but they quickly gave me a refund. I definitely recommend them, mate!
Online shopping experience
I recently had the chance to do some online shopping with this store and I have to say, I was really impressed with how the website looked and the vast selection they had to offer. The only issue I came across was getting an email reminder when I added something to my basket and needed to check sizes. Although I'm grateful for the reminder, I did feel like it was a bit forceful in its wording. However, I did end up going through with my purchase after making sure I had the right size and also took advantage of the free delivery offer. The delivery was really fast and the items I got were top quality. All in all, it was a pretty good experience.

Grace was so helpful and patient when I was looking for swimwear. She really listened to what I liked and gave me some great suggestions. The store had loads of different styles to pick from and I found exactly what I wanted. I'd definitely suggest this store to anyone needing swimwear or beachwear.
