I almost walked off before we’d even left the terminal. Saw the desk at Naples airport and, to be honest, a mate had tipped me this place so I went with it despite a bit of nagging in my head. At first I was sceptical — no shuttle stopping at arrivals, a sweaty ten-minute haul with our cases and that awkward “you should have taken a taxi” line. Not the best start.
But after a shaky beginning things eased up. The young guy behind the counter had a script, sure, and there was a bit of a palaver about my card needing the full embossed name — which I’ve used everywhere else — so I braced for the worst. I held my ground, we talked it through, they let me sort it with a different card and, in the end, stamped the paperwork without the extra demand they’d first tried. Felt like a small victory.
One car they first offered had a dodgy tyre and we flagged it straight away. That made me more nervous than anything. They swapped us to another car without fuss; it had scratches and wasn’t showroom clean, but it was safe and drove fine for our week. Inside was a bit grubby, could’ve been cleaner — tissues tucked in corners and all — but nothing that broke the trip. Returning was awkward again, shuttle-wise; we were dropped a little away from the gate and had to walk, which wasn’t ideal. Still, no nasty surprises on the bill. They checked fuel and timing properly when I pointed things out, so no extra charges.
All told I turned from doubtful to quite pleased. Not flawless, and I’d tell friends to double-check the paperwork and ask about the shuttle first, but for the price and how the staff finally handled the issues, I’d use them again with my eyes open.Rain, a tiny chip and relief
different names on different bits of paperwork, which made me wonder who I’d actually booked with. That nagging uncertainty stuck with me while I was driving, but honestly I wasn’t worried enough to cancel. The moment I knew I was actually satisfied came at checkout, oddly enough. We handed the keys back in the rain, the windscreen covered in drops, and the rep went straight to one tiny spot. She inspected it as if she’d already decided there was damage, and for a second I braced for the usual hassle — extra charges, drawn-out arguing. Then she squinted, tapped the screen, typed something and said she’d mark it as pre-existing and we were done. No charge, no drama. I remember thinking, huh, that was easier than I expected, and feeling properly relieved. It wasn’t perfect — the naming confusion on check-in, invoice and checkout was silly and could easily confuse other people, and the way the rep zeroed in on the wet windscreen felt a bit like they were hunting for a reason to charge you. But the staff closed it off quickly and professionally in the end, which I appreciated. I’m glad I took the tip from my friend and didn’t go elsewhere. If I had to give one piece of advice: ask about insurance coverage up front and photograph the car before you drive off, especially if the weather looks dodgy. Overall, a bumpy ride through the process but the end result left me grateful — not thrilled, but content that it didn’t turn into a long dispute.
