website looks tidy, checkout was quick, and I thought “that’ll save me time”. Turns out the saving was mostly on their side, not mine. The first box was billed fairly quickly and arrived after about six days, which was fine. The annoying part began with the second charge: it hit my card a week later and there’s still no shipping information. No tracking number, nothing. That’s the central gripe — delivery communication is poor. If something’s billed, I expect at least a tracking link or a clear dispatch date; I don’t want to be guessing for days.
I tried to resolve it in the usual ways. Calling just loops you through menus until you hang up (and yes, I tried more than once). Texting as instructed produced radio silence. The online form promises an answer within 72 hours — I’m still waiting. So customer service is basically non-responsive, which is maddening because the product itself isn’t terrible. When I eventually got what I ordered (the first box) the items were okay, useful even, so it’s not that the concept is broken. But the support around it — that’s where it collapses.
Another frustrating thing is the billing details. The invoice is vague; it lists totals and a few codes but not clear itemised descriptions, so it’s hard to tell what you’re actually paying for. They show “savings” and points, but I couldn’t verify if the savings were real because I don’t know what was bought in the second box. That feels like a transparency problem more than a product problem. Also there’s a cancellation fee if you want out — £ or $25, whatever currency, which seems petty when you’re already uncertain about what was charged.
On the positive side, when things do arrive they’re not awful. The first box had decent stuff and I ended up using most of it, so the service can work when the logistics line up. But the lack of easy order editing (you can’t delete items from past orders) and the repeated, unhelpful contact channels make it a headache.
In short: product ok, delivery updates and customer service poor, billing unclear. If you don’t mind chasing them and potentially disputing charges, you might get by. If you want smooth delivery and honest, prompt customer service, I’d be cautious — needs fixing.Tiny surprises, big let-down
I was genuinely excited to get a monthly surprise while we were awaiting our baby, and I approached the first box like a little ritual. Sadly, most items felt cheap — thin cups, flimsy hats, bits that felt like they’d been made at home rather than by a proper maker. The box itself had more air than stuff and a few small pieces ended up in the bin. A couple of items were soft and nice, but they didn’t make up for the rest. The website is awkward to use and support is mostly by email, which led to mixed instructions and, annoyingly, a surprise £25 cancellation charge. I wanted to recommend it, really did, but I’d tell others to shop around unless you don’t mind a gamble. Not ideal for me.
